DUAL CITIZENSHIP!!! GOOD or BAD???
Being sworn as an AMERICAN CITIZEN, I swore ALLEGIENCE to the FLAG and the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. Getting to the REAL issue at hand,(mainly the Mexican problem). Those from Mexico are instilled the idea that they are when born in MEXICO, they are Mexican for life irregardless where they reside. This means that they can be American Citizens and also RETAIN their MEXICAN CITIZENSHIP. I personally disagree with this philosophy. You cannot speak? with forked tounge. You have to be with one country 100% and not 50/50 %. and choosing to go either way to suit their own personal whims. Those crossing here to work are for economic reasons and do not care beans about our AMERICAN way of life. Assimilation is not on their minds. I vote NO for DUAL CITIZENSHIP. Stefhen

I'm a dual citizen, USA and Europe. I hold a European Union passport and the US one. Same with a most of my family and a few friends.
I believe every American Jewish person is entitled to Israeli citizenship and I've met many who have it.
Being a white European dual citizen myself, no one has ever bothered me about it. Usually people who rant against immigrants, foreigners, dual citizens don't rant against me, they rant against people who are black, brown or Asian.
Is it possible you have some racism issues? Just asking.

NOPE!!! NEVER have and never will be. I was born in CANADA. My mother was from HUNGARY. My dads parents were also from there. They moved to Canada in the late 1800's. Dad was also born in Sask. in 1908. Top that off there is Jewish blood on BOTH sides of the family. I am still AMERICAN (today) and DO NOT CLAIM any former citizenship. I do not want to claim perks that may satisfy my whims such as one country over another may have to offer. I stand FIRM in th USA for all of its GOOD or INPERFECT policies that may exist. God invented the eraser as WE all make mistakes over our lifetime. Stefhen

What is the point of this thread? Why make a general statement then claim is it really about the “Mexican problem”? Either way, when one makes an oath they do state the following:
"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same"
Thanks for participating. Next time be clearer on what you intented to discuss.
