Typical right-wing straw man argument. The article falsely refers to dreamers as immigrants aged 18-35.
Dreamers by definition were brought to the US when they were under 18, have lived here for at least 4 years, graduated from a US High School or received a GED, registered for the draft and have "good moral character". I have no idea what percentage of prison population are actually Dreamers, but no doubt much less than 8%. This article is talking about a completely different population.

"Anyone requesting DACA must have been under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012. You must also be at least 15 years or older to request DACA, unless you are currently in removal proceedings or have a final removal or voluntary departure order"
Over 2,000 DACA have been removed for criminal violations since the program started.
Some good info about the stats: Key facts about Most DACA enrollees are less than 25 years old, but not all. From Mexico makes up 79.4%, short bus ride home!
But, I thought they were all outstanding, brave, hard-working young people adding tremendous cultural enrichment to our nation?! How can this be, I didn't see it on CNN!

Well, you know, if it isn't on CNN (owned by Time-Warner who donated over $800,000 to Hillary's POTUS campaign), it just doesn't count!
These are children of parents who did not respect our laws, so gee, why would they grow up to respect our laws?
Do any of the naysayers here know any DACA people? Our family was friends with a Czech Republic-born person who was brought here at age 3 with his mother. When of age, he joined the US military, stayed for eight years to earn citizenship and became an accountant. He married an American girl six years ago (also in the military) and has become a productive citizen.
Why would you want to kick out someone like him? He did marry an American so it's not an issue anymore. But what if it was? Isn't it better to give him and people like him a chance?
As for the 'bad apples', go ahead and toss them out. They deserve it. But not all of the 'dreamers' end up in prison.

I don't think they are all going to join the military for 8 years though. There needs to be some tough filters because anyone can call themselves a "dreamer" whether they have registered for DACA or not and we can't keep them all.
"Dreamers" make up 8 percent of Arizona's prison population. Blacks make up 14 percent of Arizona's prison population, which is alot considering Blacks make up 4 percent of Arizona's population.

Have you heard of laws and do you know how they work? Do you believe that the President should have the authority and choice to enforce the laws he wishes to enforce and those he does not, on a whim or to suit his political backers?
If the Democrats in Washington don't want the DACA recipients deported, they can vote to change the law, including provisions for border security and ending chain migration and it's done. The prolonging of this is purely on the hands of the Democrats and if they choose not to bargain and put in place common sense immigration reforms, so be it.
