Sanctuary city liberals running L.A are really dumb .
They don't want to cooperate with the Feds so it's actually putting more people at risk including the illegal immigrants that haven't committed any other crimes and the general public .

So now the illegal aliens they claim they want to protect are going to get deported in higher numbers as opposed to if they just cooperated with ICE to focus on getting the ones that have committed crimes .

Of course they are twisting the situation in their typical delusional way and saying that these arrests of criminals is a retaliation.

It's become clear now that they just don't care about public safety.
--
They added that in “uncooperative jurisdictions” like Los Angeles, they are being forced to “focus additional resources to conduct at-large arrests in the community, putting officers, the general public and the aliens at risk and increasing the incidents of collateral arrests.”

ICE officials also said that they are no longer following a priority criteria for arrests, so “all of those in violation of the immigration laws may be subject to immigration arrest, detention and, if found removable by final order, removal from the United States.”

ICE officials told the Wall Street Journal earlier this week that most of those they are targeting have serious crimes on their record, some are suspected of crimes and others were previously ordered to leave the country.

“It’s part of their retaliatory strategy against sanctuary cities who don’t fall in line with their draconian immigration policies. Nothing will keep us from being a sanctuary city, county or state.”
— L.A. City Councilman Gil Cedillo

I love it!!!! Quite correct about the above. If jails were to tell ICE of criminal aliens, raids wouldn’t happen where DACA kids get scooped up and deported in the process.

So the sanctuary cities are enhancing the deportation of the people they want to protect.

Stupid reasoning from idiot liberals have consequences.

Yup, their stupid sanctuary policy is backfiring big time .

Sounded so nice in theory but doesn't work out in practice since immigration is a federal issue not local .
I wouldn't be surprised if the illegals even start wanting them to get rid of this sanctuary city policy since it puts them even more at risk .

Also how is arresting criminals here illegally a "draconian" immigration policy ?

We should just have open borders ?
