Immigrants are the people who were legally sanctioned to live and work in the United States. You can't just take it upon yourself to come to the United States and call yourself an immigrant. No, it doesn't work that way.
The ironic thing about this whole debate is that it has nothing to do with actual legitimate immigrants or immigrant rights.
Illegals WISH they were immigrants. They want the rights that immigrants have always had. Our immigration system works out great for the people who are supposed to be here, the problem with illegals is that they are NOT part of the system.
The part where slavery and then Jim Crow was the law of the land and where this country’s founders illegally and violently ended the rule of the Empire to which they belonged.
Some laws are simply unjust and violate human rights and dignity. I don’t fetishize “law and order” unlike so many petty tyrants and authoritarians.
What?! That is disgusting.
Please, do not compare illegal immigrants to slaves or to the black civil rights struggle. That is offensive.
Illegal immigrants are NOT VICTIMS. There is nothing righteous about their cause. They are people who scammed their way into the United States, arrogantly feel that they don't have to obey our laws, and are marching in the streets demanding rights that they are not entitled to.
There is absolutely no social equivalence between the illegal immigrant cause, and the abolitionist movement or the civil rights movement.

Of course illegal aliens are often victims. That they are illegal in fact makes them subject to being a victim.
There is no conflict. One can be both illegal and a victim. For instance to deprive the Dreamers of their present lawful status victimizes them. And makes them subject to more victimization as they try to deal with the grey employment market.

No one is depriving "Dreamers" (illegal aliens since childhood) their present temporary status. I hear there are jobs in Mexico for those that speak English, the home of the majority of them.
If a victim at all, a condition forced on them by their illegal alien parents. Victim ends the day they haul tail back where they came from.
Yes, people that are living outside the law are often uncomfortable, the positive for the illegal alien dreamers is that all they have to do is go home and it is over. We gave them a free education in the US, they should be able to use that when they get "home".
Victim? I am not sure you know what a victim is in the United States!
No need to deport them--they'll leave as soon as they don't get PAID by the American taxpayer to stay here via the hundreds of local, state and federal programs that are designed to IGNORE the fact that they are not citizens.

That is three 1 by 1. Which will make no difference. And they get arrested and then released. And someplace along the line the cop gets sued for picking the wrong Hispanic to arrest.
Wrong. Illegal gets arrested for offense. Being illegal is a bonus. Can find out in about 2 minutes if illegal or not.
Pure BS. Lots of cases where ICE could not figure it out in days to months. And they were often wrong when they thought they had it right.
Google bad ICE arreswts lots of hits. .
Pfffffft. 90% of people I had a friendly conversation with admitted to being illegal. Had matricular consular cards and spoke little English. Then there's the hundreds of thousands of illegals in IL with the "temporary visitors drivers license"(5000% illegal alien as they admitted it when they got the license)
Many states gave illegals licenses so there is a database
If someone gets arrested for an offense and can't prove they are a citizen well then they might sit in jail a while.
Ya know I've seen this lie said about the illegals and I just have to end it with truth once and for all. If we can move hundreds of thousands of troops and tanks and gear across the world in 6 months we could deport the illegals over the period of 5 to 10 years.
1. Border.
2. Everify
3. Warrants for all illegals/overstayers
4. Make police immigration officers
5. End welfare schooling for illegals
6. Allow 120 day period to leave on their own and they'd be first in line back legally(this would be huge)
7. 50,000$ fine per illegal employed and prison for direct supervisor (all illegal employment would end yesterday)
Can't work. Can't drive. Can't eat.
They'd be gone in just a few short years.
"Impossible to deport them all" pfffffffffffft
It could be done. It should be done. Thats what doers do. They get things done. Unlike the weak.
I think it could be done in a year. We would not need a wall either, if you deployed Military on the border, like many other Nations do and authorize the border as a training ground for Troops for anyone trying to enter illegally. Problem would be solved in less than 30 days, with a few Newscasts.
