The current state of affairs is very obvious, especially in California. Let's not pretend otherwise.

Give them time, Rome was not built in a day and besides, the raids are no doubt with the intent to put fear into their hearts, so some will leave on their own and more will think twice about coming.

They are not looking for all of them, at least not yet. They are after those who have been released from Californian prisons and jails who were shielded from the government by the state sanctuary policies.

The state of affairs is that the local police aren't trying to do the job of the federal government (ICE). If the federal government wants to get rid of illegals they can go there and do it themselves.

Let's avoid this old pedantic discussion; local police work with federal agencies all the time on task forces. This would be the same as intentionally blocking local LE against FBI, DEA, ATF, etc.

You're right - no one has ever stopped ICE from conducting immigration raids - so why is it only front page news now? Because a Republican is in the WH and the left doesn't like it.
