Remember that every illegal deported from CA frees up some portion (or all of) a "housing unit" ...thus if all of them were sent home think of the benefit - housing crisis OVER.

Fiscal crisis OVER.

CA could lower everyones taxes by about 10%. Plus people that currently cannot afford housing, would have a far better chance ...with nearly a million housing units available.

Think of that.

Or here's a thought? Let's build more housing.

Oh, and Betty Yee, California state controller, said undocumented immigrants’ labor is worth more than $180 billion a year to California's economy — about equal to the 2015 gross domestic product for the entire state of Oklahoma.

The vast majority of them won't even return your call. The others will at least contact you and then schedule you out weeks later.

These are people that take on the jobs at your favorite restaurant, and help keep costs down. That work in the fields to keep our food prices down. They take on many jobs that citizens simply won't and don't do. Many do pay taxes, and through rent, also contribute to property taxes. So how is this hurting you exactly? Be careful what you wish for.

BTW- what Trump is doing, it's not about him making the hard decisions or being brave and unafraid. It's Trump taking the easiest course of action that any President could have done- at the expense of men, women, children, and families. That's why 'no other President has done it before'. The others have a sense of human decency and know that the proper, humane solution is far more complex!
These people on average do not fully support themselves. Medicaid etc. Families need not be broken up. Spouses and kids can also go back with the deportee. If they choose not to, the choice to break up the family is on them. We break up families every time we send someone to prison. Why are these other lawbreakers (illegals) so special that their crimes are not supposed to have any impact on their family?

I've never once had a pro-illegal answer that question. No families are special or above anyone else's families. We all have to abide by the law and if we don't our families can be negatively impacted by it. So don't do the crime then, it's really that simple.

  • The Comey Letter - which was the byproduct of Rudy Giuliani conspiring with some FBI agents and NYPD officers to violate the Hatch Act - swayed the election. (other than racism and racial resentment, of course)
  • However, I'm not surprised you think Russia's involvement was limited to online bot activity. I'll take the time here to note that the top 20 fake election news stories (17 of them overtly pro-Trump) - generated more engagement on Facebook than the leading news from major news outlets.
  • But beyond online bot activity - spreading disinformation to sower discord - and cyber crimes targeting campaigns and officials, we also know that Russians penetrated U.S. voting systems
  • Top advisors of the Trump campaign - writing agendas for national security and foreign policy, ie - were Kremlin agents and intermediaries.
  • Top officials/advisors of the Trump campaign communicated, coordinated, and met with Kremlin officials/agents in the U.S. in the U.S. and abroad
  • Then there's the financial ties (money crimes, loans, investments) between Trump and Russian banks and oligarchs, setting the stage for a quid-pro-quo and blackmail
