I understand a judge blocked Trumps DACA ban and March 5 no longer has any bearing on the expiration of DACA.

Has Trump taken DACA negotiations off the table now?

On January 20, 2017, the executive power peacefully transitioned from President Obama to President Trump. At least one judge in San Francisco didn’t get the memo. Yesterday, Judge William Alsup ordered the Trump administration to keep its predecessor’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in place. This remarkable 49-page order has all the aesthetics of a judicial decision but is, at heart, an amateur act of punditry. Judge Alsup paints the picture of a divided White House, wherein “the Chief Executive publicly favors the very program [his Administration] has ended.” Citing a “presidential tweet,” the court suggests that DACA’s recision “was contrived to give the administration a bargaining chip to demand funding for a border wall in exchange for reviving DACA.”

Pretty disgusting that our own court system is protecting illegal lawbreakers.

He backed down on it. In process now of backing down on tariffs. He's quite busy reneging on a lot of his promises.

I don't think that's what it meant. The courts are being used to take away power from the Executive branch. I sure hope the Supreme Court puts a stop to that when they finally get to rule on the case. It's still strange to me that Obama can issue an executive order, but Trump somehow can't rescind one, if he decides too. That doesn't make sense.

NOPE -- the Democrats and Leftists took DACA off the table. Turns out they really have no interest in "dreamers", just interest in open borders and Trump obstruction.

There is NO WAY that the Leftists will ever allow a Republican President to sign any Immigration Reform - it's one of their #1 "go to issues" every election season.

Those that signed up with DACA are now in Federal Records - subject to immediate deportation if they step out of line. Their families don't have that protection, but are also in Federal Records. President Trump offered Legal Status to those that signed up for DACA and those who were smart enough to wait for a REAL solution.

Democrats/Leftists KILLED that ..... so now we wait for a Supreme Court to rule on the Obama Executive Memo that Activist Federal Judges in CommieLand say can't be "changed". Those same Activist Judges claim ONLY Obama was allowed to write E.O's and Executive Memos.

Dreamers could "change" this by forcing the Leftists to work to pass Legislation to keep them from being deported and giving them a chance for Citizenship ...... but they are controlled by Activists for Political gain.

It's THEIR Choice & they will be the ones to bear the consequences.

You can't have failed to notice we have MAJOR Problems with the US Justice System and the DOJ.
The FBI can bother to investigate School Shooters, they spend their time on Political Weaponization.
The Judges let killer off, give slap on the wrist to theives and protect Illegal Aliens who are Felons that ICE is looking for.

The DACAs can't force lefties or righties to pass immigration legislation that protects them or gives them any legal status and least of all our citizenship. They have no clout in this country they are here illegally.

I am not certain Judge William Alsup has the authority to do this.

Was the original DACA action given an expiration date of March 5, 2018?
