It will get built no matter how much the anti-wall people fantasize that it won't. It was already approved by congress back in 2006. The costs and who will pay for it is irrelevant as it is well needed and cost effective.

Do this changes signed by the president, send the signal that it is safe to return to the US?
Wasn't mexico supposed to pay for the wall? Why would it need to be in the omnibus?

As long as Trump has a pen to veto.... Democrats will have little power to pass any of their liberal/progressive agenda or repeal either the tax cuts or re-enact any regulations that Trump revoked.

But trump claims to LOVE the DACAs. He has said so. "I have great heart for DACA" and "Give me a (DACA) bill with LOVE."

He wasn't lying, was he???

In a way the wall will pay for itself with cost associated with the saving of millions for needless spending to school them and social programs that support illegals aliens. It will stop under the table wages and feed more money into the national treasury. Therefore the wall could be paid for with keeping illegal aliens out of the country. Nearly 30% of inmates in California prisons are illegal aliens...think of the cost savings if there were all deported.

There is no interest in the wall in the current GOP Congress, there will be no interest in the upcoming Dem Congress.

Get used to it.

Had Crooked Hillary won, instead of some border wall funding and 300 new BP officers, we'd see funding to tear down portions of the existing wall and a cut to the BP force.

^^^^Sad, but true

The open borders advocates are still crying about Hillary losing So anytime they see something that, to them, looks like there will be no wall (never mind that some areas have a wall and that it's cut down drastically on crime and illegal crossings) they get all giddy.

I figured you guys knew it was a con and voted for him anyway
It's not that we necessarily believed he would or would not build it... I'll vote for anyone that talks about tightening border security. At least he was talking about it, which is more than most politicians do. His term is not over yet, he's got at least 3 more years. I think he'd build it if he could, he's already shown that he wants to. The problem is getting congress to fund it.
