Are we ready to pay the price? Let's say we manage to deport every single illegal immigrant in the Unites States, kids included.
Are we ready to pay a higher cost of living? More expensive food, homes and business (higher construction costs), landscaping, higher prices for hotels and other things?

In one word: YES.
Looking at the deepening recession; a significant number of the illegal immigrants are going to self deport as it is. Many employers if confronted with the choice of letting go either a US citizen/green card holder or an illegal; it will be the latter first-----it would be much less hassle.

Yes! Please, YES! The cost will be offset by the reduction in taxes.

Agreed. We are already paying higher food and gas prices and the housing market has all but been declared dead. That being said, frankly the last thing we need is to have to continue to foot the tax burden of illegal alien breedmares and their anchors.
Prices will not go up as much as people will believe
Companies will still try to price compete
Were the prices really high before we had 40+ millions illegals here?
Plus the companies can always grab a legal cheap worker from elsewhere like we use to do one hundred or more years ago. We used to send recruiters to Europe to look for laborers for the mines, railroads, and such

I think we will have to pay a higher cost of living, and more and more people will have to turn to welfare. Food will only get more expensive with the gas prices still rising. People will probably do away with things they can do without, but a roof over your head and food in your stomach is something you really can't do without.
Yes, if that means that MY tax dollars are no longer supporting the education, healthcare, and social programs for criminals, err, I mean illegal immigrants.

Let's get a little more 'real', and say we DON'T deport every illegal in the US, which is nonsense. Let's only say we deport any of them with a criminal record, plus anyone who's arrived in the past 5 years.
Let's let our imagination now REALLY run wild, and let's say we keep out all FUTURE illegals (which we could do, if we wanted to).Would I be willing to live with the consequences of that....you're darn RIGHT I would !!....
Do I think this will happen? No, I don't. Too many corrupt, powerful people in this and other countries are benefitting WAY too much.
