We have many suffering American citizens. Charity starts at home. That means we take care of our own first and foremost. If there is anything left over, then help others.

You liberals want open borders. Yet I don't see you stepping up and offering to move several illegals into your home and supporting them. Would you like it if the house next door to you became a flophouse with 15-20 illegals living there? Talk is cheap. Put your money where your mouth is.

Last I heard there are billions of impoverished across the world. As you said, we cannot accommodate them all in our country and that's why we have legal immigration quotas. It would be committing national suicide and be devastating to our own citizens. Where would be the humanness towards them? We don't have unlimited jobs and resources. We have enough of our own poor and needy to take care of. Illegal aliens reduced American wages and take American jobs by working for less. Americans have families to provide for also.

Same old right wing nonsense.

In general the illegal aliens embedded in the US had no chance of legally immigrating. They do not meet the necessary standards. That is why they come in illegally.

They do not receive welfare except for their US born children. It is rather paltry if received. In general the attraction is jobs not welfare.

Do not need a path to citizenship. Simply legalization. Let the citizenship thing cool for a decade. Avoids the problem of new voters.

There is no practical way to deport 11 million people. And there is no citizen support for such an action.

And the majority of the illegals to day are over stayers not border crossers.

So the right simply blocks any solution letting the problem go on and on and on.

We can't fix a problem until we know exactly what we are dealing with.
The objections by the liberal left against the citizenship question on the census is a bogus reason that people won't be counted because of they are afraid of being deported...million of people in the US are here legally but not citizens. People who are here on varies visa like education, work and so on should have no fear of answering that citizenship question. There are dozens of difference types of visa issued.

The main reason the left is upset is they are afraid of losing power and federal social service money in states with a high concentrate of illegal aliens in liberal states. Actually illegals should not be getting social service monies to start with IMO.
The power thing is losing Congressional seat in places like California as thousands of Californians are fleeing the state because of high taxes and being replaced by illegal aliens who hardly pay any taxes but have a potential of voting mostly a liberal ticket.

Thank you for showing your true colors. We always knew this was how your side felt, now you have confirmed it.
If illegal aliens were so beneficial to US why don't they stay and fight the system where they come from and make it a better place instead of turning our country into the same ghetto as where they came from.

The failure of both legal and illegals to assimilate into our society is a major reason most Americans are upset. It seem to me that the left is more willing to allow these people to dominate our culture with theirs in the name of 'diversity' and the vote which in turn divides the American people into opposing camps.

Our country fought a lot of wars to maintain our way of life and now its time for people who live in other countries to fight for their. It is not the responsible of the American people to shelter the world's oppressed.

Its amazing that the left is more worried about people in our country illegally then they are about our own citizens. For example, in California out of state college tuition is thousand more then in state students, but illegal alien can get a waver and pay the same as in state students. Legal foreign students don't get that benefit, just illegal aliens.

I can never understand why people think this problem is so difficult. Build the wall, seal the border, mandate E-Verify, stop ALL government benefits to non-citizens and the problem will solve itself. Which part of "Illegal Aliens" do people not understand ? These are, by definition, CRIMINALS. Why would we want them in our midst ? We have laws on the books. Just enforce them.

No support for the wall.,
The majority of the illegals come in by air not the border.
There is no place near enough support to implement broad everify.
There are benefits to non citizens and they will remain. They are taxpayers.
Many if not most are not criminals. They are deportable but have committed no crime.
The laws are simply unenforceable. Way too expensive.

Nope. Kids who enter at less than 18 violate no statute. Visa over stayers, the most common illegal alien today, violate no statute.

They are deport-able but not criminal.
