Having seen politicians lie to us for decades. It's also easy to be dismissive of someone that wants to put so much blame on asylum seekers as opposed to those providing the jobs.

Actually the Mexicans will not accept non-Mexicans once they set foot into the US. Even if we set up an immediate deport we could not do it. Honduras or Guatemala does not have to take someone back...and certainly not before they are proven a national of the country concerned.

I think kat this point a large percentage of those hitting the southern border are in fact not Mexicans. Actually in 2017 FY about 100,000 from Central America with around 10,000 from Mexico. This is the unaccompanied minors and family units.

Actually not a very interesting number when Visa over stayers are at 750,000

As we all were. Imagine having a police force like the NYPD being prevented from cooperating with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency by politicians in that city.

Truly shameful not just embarrassing.

You are really of the belief that the NYC Police should violate the Constitution because the Feds ask them to do so?

The Constitution protects the rights of people to be here who have no right to be here?

Nope I would hope you were smarter than that. But right thinking does limit the intellectual process.

Or how about this...ICE refuses to use judicial warrants to hold people in jails/prisons. Instead they rely upon an illegal "request to detain" even after several federal courts have ruled that they are unlawful. MAGA my a$$

Who said that? The fact is that local law enforcement is not generally not authorized to make arrests for civil immigration violations SCOTUS in Arizona v. United States, clarified that local law enforcement agents do not have authority to stop or detain people for suspected violations of civil immigration law.

Immigration and Customs Agents were forced to take matters into their own hands after the NYPD refused to follow orders. In a six-day blitz titled “Operation Keep Safe,” ICE agents made 225 arrests, 180 of whom were convicted of numerous crimes.
Nowhere in your link does it say that NYPD refused to follow orders, what an inane comment to make. ICE can't give orders to local law enforcement and NYPD has no authority to investigate immigration violations or detain people suspected of being here illegally. I'm not surprised that gateway pundit doesn't realize that though, it seems that their editorial staff consists of 8th grade dropouts.

Is that why Ellis Island was established?
