I never said I thought they would quit. That's why I support even larger fines and prosecutions.

Yes, there are more than a few businesses which will continue to disregard the issue of hiring illegal aliens but perhaps going forward there will be serious consequences.

It's About Time – Employer Hit by $96 Million Penalty for Hiring Illegal Aliens

By David North on September 29, 2017

Asplundh, the tree-trimming company, has been hit by a $96 million penalty for hiring (and rehiring) illegal alien workers. According to the federal prosecutors it is the largest payment ever levied in an immigration case.

The company pled guilty to criminal charges in a federal court in Pennsylvania, where its headquarters is located, apparently moving swiftly to minimize the damage to the corporation's image. As a result of the guilty plea, there will not be a public trial.

Which shows it can be done. It is done on a rare occasion. If this is where we concentrated our efforts as opposed to attacking the states for political gain, we could make at least some progress.

That is an expensive broken system. It's up to the Feds to fix it, not the states as the states can not.
Stop Catch & Release at the Border! This is your solution.

No it isn't. No one is being caught and released at the border except back to Mexico. Will they make another attempt? They will because the jobs are here.

You are very wrong. Many women & children from Honduras and Guatemala are stopped at the Border, detained and released to see a Federal Immigration Judge. We must stop allowing the women & children, as well as men to enter, be detained, and released to family members across the U.S. . This is still happening. This must stop! We must stop allowing people to enter, even when they claim fear. Turn them back at the Border, no arresting and ROR. (Releasing on Recognizance). This is a big problem now for ICE on the interior of the U.S. Go to the Border and see with you own eyes catch and release.

Asylum seekers are an incredibly small number of people. It is not a big number and it's one that in part we created. The big number is those who come here for the jobs.

Or for benefits.

Often they say they're coming to escape political violence. The reality is they're escaping self-created dystopias.

Illegals by and large do not qualify for benefits. Those who come here and have kids can get benefits for the kids......which as far as the current law goes, are U.S. citizens.

BullSh&t!

Most are scammers, and many claim fear, just to get in. It's a scam! Many claim fear. You need to go to the border and see the truth. Stop believing this false information, I don't know where you are getting it from.
