We already have de facto national ID's now---------they are usually known as driver's licenses.
Besides: in some jurisdictions; if the authorities were to stop you, even if walking and you have no ID on your person---------you can be taken in and held for up to 24 hours.
should all red necks be stopped in suspicion of an attack to our coutry like
Oklahoma, or for possibly being serial killers?
If there were thousands of cases each month of attacks on our "coutry"....and if there were hundreds of cases each month of serial killers...and if the large majority of these crimes were found to have been the work of "red necks"....then, it wouldn't be long before these "red necks" were pulled aside and profiled....
But these crimes are EXCEEDINGLY rare, and in EXCEEDINGLY rare crimes, profiling makes little sense. You just can't 'profile' the general public for 'mass murderers'...there aren't enough OF them to HAVE a 'profile".
If only 1000 people entered the US illegally each year....and if they came in equal numbers from 90 or 100 different countries....then there'd be no 'profiling' for illegals. But that's not the case.
By the way, my wife and many of my in-laws, on BOTH sides, AND most of my kids and grandkids "look like" they "might be" illegal immigrants. So far, none of us have been 'profiled'...(at least, not by the police). So whatever 'profiling" is being done, apparently is NOT with racial purposes in mind....at least that's MY impression, here.

Hey,
Oklahomans dont attack America.
That creep that blew up the Murrah wasn't from around these parts.
And we dont round up all our hispanic citizens. Hell , most of them I know speak better english than people form.....oh lets say New Yark
It's easy to spot them, but hard to describe....a certain 'tilt' of the head, a way of walking....often a bulge in the lower cheek (indicating a wad of tobacco held within)....a weakness for stock-car racing and chicken-fried steak....believe me, they're out there.....It's just that you'd almost have to get 'up close' to really point one out.....
Sometimes, in a crowded shopping mall, you can try this...yell, as loudly as you can, "why, MERLE HAGGARD !! When did YOU show up ??"
Then look quickly...any shopper whose head whips around in your direction, is VERY LIKELY a "red neck"....(but not ALWAYS)...
Nice try, but not an absolute sure thing. This guy COULD be a Lithuanian-American resident of Worcester, Massachusetts, in town for a Budweiser event. He may speak eight languages, belong to several environmental groups, and be a member of the Russian Orthodox Church.
I admit he's an "odd duck", but not NECESSARILY a 'redneck".
(he could ALSO, unfortunately, be only one of millions of working Americans who are unable to afford dental insurance)..
