Ripping screaming children out of the arms of mothers at the border is government-sponsored terrorism. It was so repugnant and the outcry so loud from both the right and the left that Trump was forced to back down. Not a proud chapter in American history.
Trump wasn't forced to back down. It wasn't his policy to separate the kids from their parents in the first place. He took care of that one.

At the Daily Mail online:
Illegal immigrant is arrested for 'starting dozens of wildfires in Colorado that forced hundreds to evacuate and destroyed 38,000 acres of land', as video shows blaze rapidly engulfing one of the many decimated homes

Is it ok to post links to Daily Mail articles?

Yep, they blame and want to get rid of ICE for something another agency does. People need to investigate what they are told before buying.

HSI special agents investigate a range of issues that threaten the national security of the United States such as human rights violations, human smuggling, art theft, human trafficking, drug trafficking, arms trafficking.

ICE is charged with the investigation and enforcement of over 400 federal statutes within the US and maintains attachés at major U.S. diplomatic missions overseas.

INS was replaced by ICE...do you understand 'replaced'.

You watch too much MSNBC and CNN (formal know as the Clinton New Channel). The policy of family separation was done in the three prior administrations. Its the law. (seem most liberals don't care about the law) You did notice the pictures that your family network posted were mostly taken during the prior administration? Of course you did....

No one asked these people to break our laws. Dragging children on that long journey to the US borders is child abuse at its worst. Rapes, assaults, criminal activity, coyotes, you-name-it, are horrendous things for all of the single mothers with their children to risk. The statistics are high and the chances good of those crimes occurring.

USCIS found that 70% of asylum applications contain fraudulent information. Most applicants are from Central America and are family arrivals, not unaccompanied minors. They are claiming "credible fear," the main asylum reason. Finally, the success rates of 2015 asylum seekers are:

El Salvador - 5% (out of 30,500)
Honduras - 9% (out of 16,850)
Guatemala - 8% (out of 14,500)
Mexico - 2% (out of 11.318)
Ecuador - 5% (out of 1,034)
India - 26% (out of 3,246)

Source: USCIS and EOIR

Before the 1986 immigration reforms, asylum seekers went to the US Consulate in Mexico to file their applications, then waited in Mexico for their ultimate determinations.

In accordance with international agreements, applicants who have passed through or even been living in safe countries prior to their arrival at the US border, should be returned to those countries to make their asylum claims.

Obviously, the current immigration crisis has become a free-for-all that disregards our immigration laws, rules and regulations.

The "Asylum Reform and Border Protection Act of 2014" humanely addressed the problem of unaccompanied minors at our borders. It's an informative read, and shows the US is not meant to be "national sponsored terrorism."

I like to deal wth facts instead of the rhetoric on both sides.

You know the Dems are playing to their future voter base.

It's sad that far left wingers (Democrats) and far right wingers (Republcans) have gutted the original true missions of both parties. Then we have the socialists who are gaining ground by offering unsustainable benefits: Health insurance for everyone, free education for all people no matter where they are born, housing for everyone so they can "live in dgnity," etc.

Mmm... the most liberal state, California, has the highest poverty rate in the United States. Correlation?

Matt Haggman's ad says there are other ways to secure our border...uh, what about illegals who are living beyond border cities? Anyone who says a portion of Democrats don't want open borders is kidding themselves. Unfortunately, I have zero hope that the media will actually educated people by shining a light on ALL of ICE's responsibilities, rather than repeating the mantra "ripping babies out of mother's arms" and showing photos (like the Time cover) that have already proven to be false.
exactly... ICE and Border Patrol are not the same. ICE is charged with tracking down unauthorized foreign nationals involved in heinous crimes such as murder, child molestation, armed robbery, human trafficking, rape, domestic violence, car theft rings, drug and gun running, etc.

Do Democrats want these people in their neighborhood?

This thread is going nowhere. If you don't want to discuss illegal immigration, only want to attack your political opponents, the forum you're looking for is next door.
