I don't think denying all asylum seekers is a good solution. However, a faster process (due process) to determine who is real, and who is fake, needs to be invented. It takes too long now.

Yes , I agree. Just because you are a single mother that made poor choices in life ( where are the LOSER fathers ?) DOES'NT make you some kind of persecuted refugee that qualifies for asylum.

Judy Woodruff reports that a 14 month old baby boy who was separated from his family at the border was found to be unbathed for the 85 days he was in detention. He was covered with body lice when found.

Who the hell allows a baby to suffer like this??

Now,. How smart are YOU?????
I'd still like that trench coat, but good use of CAPS in your tirade.

What's missing is a lot of critical thinking. Child abuse starts on the other side of the border. Who in hell would drag their children through crime, rapes, and God knows what else for a 5% chance of being approved for asylum?

The uninvited need to go home. Sounds like the "detention centers" are horrible, so why come here? Could it be they are housed in much better quarters than from whence they came? ...all at taxpayer expense, of course.

When I attended elementary school up to and including high school, we were surrounded by chain link fences. Boo hoo.

Trump may be hated, but it's time the welcome mat is pulled or we will continue to be inundated. This ain't 1818, folks. No more chain migration, merit-based legal immigrants only. All countries have borders.

And how about the millions of American children living in abject poverty? Apparently, they continue to be treated as second class citizens in favor of importing more poverty. Tsk tsk.

They aren't denied. However, less than 5% are granted asylum. Then the 95% remaining are deported. If anyone returns, it's a felony.

Maybe with the mean, inhumane, racist, fill-the-blank current administration, they will be discouraged (yeah, right). Who wants to live in this "horrible" country anyway? Chain link fences! Children caged! When will it all end?!

I would say the same kind of people who would take a baby on a dangerous journey is search of freebies when they could have stopped at Mexico and requested asylum there.

Anyone seeking asylum should have to apply in his home country, not just claim it at the border.

As it is now, failure to attempt entry at an established border crossing should be evidence that the claim for asylum is bogus.

The alt-right Gestapo-minded ICE/Homeland Security/government contractors making a mint off these kids shoved into their "care" by people who don't give a damn...

New Govt policy now that they can't reunited the younger children as per the CA judge's order--
To say that kids are "reunified" when they go into foster care and ICE drops control
Of course that is no form of reunification
Apparently many of these children's documentation/paper trail/e-docs have been destroyed/deleted from the govt's system so there is no way in hell they can be matched w/parents except via DNA--which isn't possible since the swabs were not taken intially and some of these adults are not out of custody...

This is really a criminal conspiracy in its own right
Designed to be just the cluster-f it has turned out to be
Trump and the alt-right henchmen he has in his WH/Cabinet/lower eschilon do not care anything about judicial orders or human rights---
They only care about doing what they want
