He was a Texas resident. Not clear he was illegal. Some right wingers deny the obvious when it fails to line up with their belief system.

He was released by the Federal Court in Houston TX in early 2017. The Feds do not generally release illegal Mexican aliens. The obvious conclusion is he was legal at that point. I know it is difficult for some right wingers but that is what has been reported so far.

I recommend CA lock him up and throw the key away. Too bad TX did not deal with him before a mess of people ended up dead.
