Jamiel Shaw will be Laid to Rest Today
Quote:
Neither Los Angeles nor any other American city should be a sanctuary for gangs.
Right now, L.A. Mayor Villaraigosa’s “sanctuary city” policy prevents our police from enforcing our immigration laws against any illegal aliens, including gang members.
This “sanctuary city” policy cost Jamiel Andre Shaw, II, his life.

How much carnage will it take for our government to enforce our laws? May he rest in peace.

I keep wondering the same thing. There are thousands of stories on the internet just like this one. There are websites that have been erected to keep track of the Americans murdered at the hands of illegal aliens, since the MSM nor or duplicitous government (with the exception of a few loyal Republicans) feel its important enough to keep track of or to beat drum that its time for them to leave.
Did you know that the guy who directed A Christmas Story was killed by an illegal alien drunk driver? I never heard it on the news but read that story on the internet. I guess your name has to be Bush, Cheney or Gates in order for your murder at the hands of someone who shouldn't even be here stirs the pot of Seal the Border NOW.

According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, Velazquez-Nava was tested and had a 0.24 percent blood-alcohol level about the time of the accident, which would be three times what the state law considers enough to be presumed to be driving drunk. Velazquez-Nava reportedly was driving without a license, and he and a passenger, identified as Lidia Mora, 29, were treated for minor injuries.

This is a very sad story but it's no different from hundreds of murders that happen every year. Remember the NFL star who was killed by 4 black teenagers?
I don't get the logic here but somehow no one is outraged when an American is killed by a citizen but if it is a criminal illegal immigrant, people get so angry.

I completely disagree. And you obviously will use the smoke-and-mirrors ploy of mixing apples and oranges to detract from the point of this thread - which is Jamiel would be alive today, along with thousands of other law-abiding citizens, if our nation would enforce our laws against invasion by foreign nationals.
It is VERY different, not 'NO different'.

If the NFL star wasn't at home that day, he wouldn't have been murdered. The what if argument doesn't really hold up because i can use it to justify everything.

That last comment - well, you know what, it's not even worth it.
I hope Jamiel's family doesn't come across this thread seeing how you are disrespecting his memory in this fashion.
If they do, I hope they see that those who defend this criminal behavior are the minority - the majority feel that his death was a great loss to our community and that we must do something positive to ensure his death was not in vain.

The fact that you don't get it merely confirms that common sense is not had by all. You don't get the logic ANYWHERE or at anytiime. Everytime an article is posted about an illegal alien commiting a crime in America you immediately jump to their defense. One can summize that you are either (a) an illegal alien; (b) have illegal alien family members or (c) you share a race or ethnicity. At some point you need to realize that as Americans we are FULLY AWARE that there are American criminals as we pay the tax dollars to prosecute and incarcerate them. That being said, while Americans are generous to a fault we don't enjoy paying taxes to incarcerate our own criminals and just like you feel that we are attacking those here illegally that you share an ethnicity with, we are twice as angry that they are here illegally (which is their initial crime) adding the extra expense of interpreters, jail space, incarceration costs, attorney's fees, court fees and deportation costs. Yet they continue perpetuating additional crimes against our citizens and you seem to think its comparable to the criminal acts committed by Americans in America. Adding insult to injury it even costs more to prosecute and incarcerate illegal aliens than it does Americans. Maybe if we start deducting the cost of illegal aliens from the bottom line of the financial assistance per country your respective governments would "get it".
Now do you get it?
