The law will likely pass........the tide is turning against illegals-------and, their enablers now as well.

As for Los Angeles' Special Order 40----------that will probably be rescinded.

Arizona I pray that you are right. No better place to start than sancutary Mexifornia. Chicago's Mayor Daley needs to take note since the illegal alien gangs in Chicago are in full swing while he's busy hiking taxes and passing ordinances trying to control the chickens clucking and roosters running down the streets of Pilsen.

What are the police going to do? Hi, can I see your legal status, and then get shot? I dont think police even like to bother with gangs unless they are in the act/planning to commit a crime.

Special order 40 states that even apprehended suspects cannot even be questioned as to illegal status. As a five decade resident of Los Angeles, I can vouch for the fact that L.A. will always do THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what is right for citizens. Hence Special Order 40, considered sacrosanct by the illegals' apologists, will never be rescinded. Present Mayor Villaraigosa will never let this happen, for nepotistic reasons as well.

Hallmarks of specific L.A. legislation against its citizenry:
-Illegals cannot be reported to ICE, even if they are apprehended criminals.
-Tax laws are in place heavily against doing business in Los Angeles.
-All pets must be sterilized at 16 weeks, even if it is unhealthy for them (the so-called exemptions are not doable in real life practice.)
-anyone who purchased a house before 1978 gets the famous Prop 13 discounted property taxes that you all heard about. Anyone who purchased after 1978, does not and never, ever will.
-Single family residence zoning is battled against by the city council (who of course all live in same.)
-density, density, density is Lord of All.
