An Immigrant is putting down roots. LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF THE LAND AND LEARN IT WELL.


Most people in Europe have no problem speaking English to a tourist who needs directions. Most people in Europe speak more than one language because of the way the nations are situated. No big Deal.

If you're an IMMIGRANT, learn the language of the land. PERIOD.

I would love to see you at age 50 living in a foreign country and trying to learn that language wise guy.....

My paternal grandmother arrived here in the USA at age 50 from Hungary and learned passible English quite quickly. If she was able to do it: why not the rest of the legal immigrants?? Illegals do not count-------they have the rights of any other lawbreaker and need to be dealt with accordingly.

It makes me want to strangle them and their whole family. Not only that, I tell them they are morons in Spanish, followed by lots of cursing in English. They get really confused, especially because I'm Mexican-American.

Fair enough. I have met quite a few Americans especially the obease ones who seem to be allergic to deorderant. That said I have met quite a few immigrants from India that seem to hate the idea of a daily shower.

They must think you are self-loathing, and have some serious issues. I doubt you really do that though, because you'd probably get smacked up for walking up to strangers and calling them "morons" and cursing them out. It's great to have an imagination though.

Funny how they do not speak English, but if their paycheck is 5 cents wrong, all of the sudden, they are saying IN ENGLISH, why is my pay wrong and I want the right amount. Funny how the English comes out then!

well in usa people need the english to get a job but other than this they are under no reason to speak english. anyway if it was me i would be too concerned with living to even notice.

plus if its spanish you refer to, its much more beutiful than english so embrace it
