MEXICO; allow in 20 million Africans. The wealth disparity between the U.S. and Mexico is nothing compared to that of Mexico and Africa. You see they aren't worried about having a nice T.V. and nice ass clothes. Mothers there worry about getting enough nutrients so that they can have enough milk in their breasts to feed their infants. Take em in, please, have a heart. Oh, yeah I forgot, mexico is a racist country who see blacks (even African Americans) as peons and the bottom of the racial hierarchy. They follow this archane mentality to this day (even though this practice dates back 400 years). If you don't want them, we don't want you. I would expect that you can understand our position, especially in contrast to your positions on such issues in your own country. You all should learn English. Mexico needs to abandone the Spanish language, the machismo mentality, legalized prostitution, blatant corruption, having a **** load of kids because a big family makes you feel good, rather than have the interest of the child as priority so they can have chance to move up the social ladder. You see, you are racists, so I have less than zero sympathy for you, and you all should get the @#$%^ out, NOW. Asians to. When you move up a few steps in the cultural evolutionary ladder, than maybe we can talk.

That was a relatively short period in the history of modern Italy. On the other hand, Mexico has never been a first tier country, despite having abundant natural resources.

Furthermore, the microcosms of Italian society created in this country by migrants from Italy did not consist of:

1. Graffitti on everything that doesn't move
2. Houses with barred windows, surrounded by dead lawns with a dozen broken cars parked on them
3. Vendors selling feces infested food out of rusty vending carts
3. Gang bangers playing loud music and urinating on walls to mark their territory
4. And in general, no-go zones that nobody in their right mind walks through after dark, or in some cases, at any time of day.

I have a feeling you have never lived in NYC, LI or NJ. There are still Italian areas that are like this, Russian and Polish too.
I love the way you constantly portray Mexicans as the worst possible breed of people in the world.

Is that so? Have any photos, or some source to corroborate your statement?

Sure they do...With the Mafia broken they no longer have the power to keep Italian youth gangs at bay...

And while Bay Ridge may not stand out as a gang-plagued neighborhood, it doesn't stop the Latin Kings, a Puerto Rican gang, and the Italian gang Hoodlums Doing Damage, from marking their territory.

Gangs use graffiti as a warning

No. They extorted their goods in broad daylight....Pay up or else. Called it "Protection". Hijack trucks..sure. Run houses of prostitution and illegally gaming? Why Not?

Umm...when the Italians first arrived the conditions and health code was non existent or very poor. You ate rat back then for sure...At least now it is cow...

New one to me. Urinating on walls? Comeon...

Sure there was. A black person would not have never walked through an Italian neighborhood back in the day. My mother told me about the racial tensions that exist/existed between these two groups in 1960's Chicago...

.
I disagree. Railroad freight cars move. So do semi-trailers. And many of them are HEAVILY decorated with grafitti, up to about 7' above the ground.

And too; as people of Italian (mostly southern Italian) heritage became Americans culturally, the prejudice also faded-------opening up more and more opportunities to be legit.

For the record: till fairly recently, in Italy the ethnic differences between northerners (Turin, etc) and Sicily (Palermo) were almost as stark as the differences between Mestizo Mexicans and White Spaniards-------never mind that the latter two groups are 'equally' Hispanic under US law.

As they assimilated, so will Hispanics.

Difference is that 'fresh' Italian immigration was all but cut off by ca. 1920 allowing American society to 'digest' and assimilate Italians. Too, many of the more 'hardcore' Old World Italians left the USA for back home.

What about the descendants of the Mexicans who were in California, Texas, New Mexico and all the other states after they became apart of the U.S? They probably don't even look Mexican anymore. This shows assimilation.
