COLUMBUS, N.M. — Illegal immigrants armed with torches, hacksaws, ladders and even bungee cords are making it around a section of the border fence hailed as the most efficient way to stop them.

It's time to build 15 foot concrete walls, post the national guard around the entire circumference of our borders and put alligators in the Rio Grande. The US should cease sending any type of financial aid to Mexico and all other foreign countries with massive populations of illegal squatting on American soil. The criminal insanity of these invaders knows no bounds.

This is precisely why the 'rules of engagement' must change. Is our government waiting for the next terrorist attack? Osama Bin Laden has already stated their objective for the 'next attack' is to kill at least 2 million Americans. Apparently, providing cheap illegal labor for the greedy corporations takes precedence over defending the legal citizens of this country. This is infuriating.

Put in mine fields on the inside walls of the fence and mines for another 50 feet and another 20 feet wall fence.... and you see that number drop to ZERO....

Too; make employer sanctions laws mandatory across the USA---------even faux 'liberal' California.

If it means having the Feds take control of the CHP and LAPD among other Calif police agencies to override 'Special Order 40' and other treasonous 'laws', so be it.

If LA's Antonio Villargasta (sp) tries to intervene--------arrest him and strip him of the mayorship.

I bet I could build a better fence.

#1. 20 feet high facing the Mexican side.

#2. 20 feet high and 40 feet deep on the American side filled 10 feet high with cactus.

Well, there goes the theory that "ILLEGAL ALIENS REFUSE TO LEARN ENGLISH" Even Raul has elected to advertise in that language...

Seriously, though, I recall recently viewing a documentary about California prisons in which new 'high tech' electrical perimeter fences were being installed. 'revolutionizing" the whole concept of "keeping people in". As I recall, even some of the "Sentry Towers" were now being rendered obsolete..they were no longer needed.

WHY? Because the fence (behind an inner 'warning' fence) was ABSOLUTELY FATAL. This was known to ALL INMATES, and signs were posted at close intervals NEAR the fence, as a reminder. No one could even GET to the fence without first climbing another one. But if they DID?....sure death.

Wasn't this inhumane, we ask? Apparently not..because not a single inmate in the several years the fence had been in service, had ever TRIED it. It was working so well, there was an 'expansion' program (California has MANY state prisons). Nobody got 'hurt' with the fence, because nobody ever got NEAR it.

Inhumane? Who can say? far, there are no 'victims'.

Hmmm. . . . I like your idea but MacMeal's scenario is far more appealing.

the fence does work you are not trying to seal the borders just slow it down.
the fence is effective hence the enormous political opposition to its' completion.
80% of illegal immigration for the entire USA comes through san ysidro.
