We are using a biased source here. It also must be noted that Dreamers are here legally, like it or not.

At least twenty states and the District of Columbia have “tuition equity” laws or policies that permit certain students who have attended and graduated from secondary schools in their state to pay the same tuition as their “in-state” classmates at their state’s public institutions of higher education, regardless of their immigration status. The states are California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, and Washington. The University of Michigan’s Board of Regents adopted a similar policy for its campuses.
^from a nauseatingly pro-illegal website. clearly states that there is, most definitely, something states can do: they can refuse to draft and pass legislation excluding immigration status in their criteria.

They can ask for proof of citizenship. This is not illegal so long as they ask it of everybody. I bet that is how it is done in the 32 states that dont give in state tuition to illegal aliens.

Not sure what you asking?

Not every state allows in-state for illegals.

I've worked with MANY legal Hispanics here in Southern California for the past 20+ years. Most of them still have cousins, aunts & uncles that want to come to the US for better living conditions and jobs.

The Democrats do not want to lose those currently voting for them. That was the whole idea behind sanctuary cities. It keeps many Hispanics very happy.
Both parties do things and have policies that are meant to appeal to some demographic. For example, most of the republicans aren't really against abortion; they just pretend to be to appease the fundamental Christians. That's just politics.

Good grief. Do you posters do nothing else but obsess about illegal immigrants 24-7? There are so many worse problems in our country, among them, the fact that the vast majority of violent acts in the US are committed by US citizens. Being an American citizen does not necessarily make a person good.

um, unless you live near a state border. but I guess no one does?

I don't know how Georgia makes the determination, but Georgia bars illegals from attending state colleges.

How is that a problem, at all? It would be a problem if that weren't true.

The only problem comparable to illegal immigration is legal immigration.

When you're being invaded, everything else takes a back seat until the invasion is repelled.

It is attitudes like yours that have caused this problem to go on for so long.

Illegal aliens? Forget about them, look over there instead.

Even 1 murder or 1 rape by an illegal alien is 1 too many. There is nothing you can do to ahead of time to prevent citizens from committing these crimes. But you can prevent illegals from committing these crimes, merely by upholding THE LAW. They have no right to be here.

When a judge lets someone who is guilty of a crime go free, and they go on to murder someone, that personís death was due to a failure of our system. When an illegal alien commits a murder, that personís death is, likewise, a failure of our system. It is our responsibility to fix the system so these failures dont continue.
