Read the article GD. Particularly the comments of Senator Beers.

Pretty interesting in a couple of dimensions.

Immigrants boost economy — but how much? - Las Vegas Sun

Note that Vegas appears to be losing Hispnanics at a great rate do to the economy..particularly residental construction. It is particular interesting in that the same loss of immigrants in Phoenix is ascribed to the anti-immigration laws. Hmm

I like the observatons of Senator Beer. He points out it does no good to actually try to find out what is going on because every knows the answer and will not entertain any view other than there own.
I your particular case; you are correct-----------I do not put much stock in what you say anymore.

I know Urso...don't confuse you with facts...you know what you know.

And it would never occur to you that identical population movements in Las Vegas and Phoenix are likely due to the same cause. You just know it is the new laws...

Clearly - you know little about Arizona - VERY clearly -

AND, as I previously posted - beers is not relevant to Arizona -

Love it. GD disowns probably the most fiscally conservative Republican in the State of Nevada because he points out the discussion is all about preset views...

I believe Beers is much closer to your views than mine GD. But it is consistent for you to refuse anyone who does not tow your line exactly.

Are you telling me that the other parts of the country are doing extremely well in the downturn of the current economy? You really have to give me a break... the ENTIRE country is suffering a recession... what do you expect to happen in Vegas? No money to gamble means no money for Vegas... really too bad..

Read the article. Then I will not have to tell you anything...

And Vegas is getting by.

Well I think being in a recession this is the worst time to kick illegals out of your country that were contributing by buying gas, food, paying rent, keeping business afloat by reducing costs.

In the end people will find that revenue due to having illegals, was much closer to expenditures than what was thought. I think people really underestimate just how much the illegal crack down will impact negatively.

Our country will not collapse without illegal aliens, anymore than our country collapsed when the plantation owners were forced to ‘pay’ for labor. Gee….doing things the ‘right’ way sure can be rough.

If anything, the recession will serve to underscore the severity of the illegal alien invasion. As more citizens lose jobs, and their unemployment benefits are exhausted; there will be heightened resentment toward people illegally working in this country -- in whatever capacity.
