Default Would America be the same without illegals?

After all this threads and posts, I think is time to define some criteria regarding illegal immigration and its consequences.
Do you believe America will be the same without illegals? and why?
Would you blame on illegals the current financial crisis in America? why?

Lets agree to disagree is on a distinguished road
First, America would be cleaner. Second, safer. Third quieter. Fourth...we would save billions of dollars in government programs such as education for their children. Also, billions of dollars in medical expenses. Trust me, if they all leave tomorrow, we will be alright. Actually better off. Sorry, not to say there isn't fine illegal people...but they came into our country illegally? What right do they have to cross our borders with out authorization? And we can not blame the counrty's economic crisis on them..of course not. They don't have the economic power to do that.

I hope America AINT the same w/o illegals. I want our schools to stop wasting $$$ on ESL, our hospitals to stop losing $$$ on illegals care, and i want blue-collar jobs to go to law-abiding citizens.
I dont blame illegals for our financial crisis but i do believe they played a part.

If even just 80-90% of the illegal immigrants (including their minor age US born Anchor Babies) left------I strongly suspect a lot of the hostility against them would diminish greatly.

AZ I think what you are going to get is a lot of LEGAL VISA carrying people coming back in to do these jobs, in effect nothing will change, except we won't allow them to bring their families.

I think the Democrats know exactly who to blame for the fiscal problems (especially in California) but choose to protect the illegals and keep the hispanic support. In our national government, the Iraq war costs a lot, and the government places all fiscal problems on that, but illegal immigration accounts for at least 30% of the national fiscal problems, and again the democrats wont place any blame on the illegals.....they just use the war as the excuse for everything.

This country will be very different without illegals. You may not see any change in small towns and lazy farming communities because we will still need guest workers to work on the farms, but big cities and inner city suburbs will change drastically....mostly for the better because it is in inner city areas will see a decrease in "spanish exclusive" communities (where all signs are in spanish) and crime will decrease dramatically because unemployment will drop for lower income blacks and legal hispanics and the crime ridden illegal aliens will be gone. Drug trafficking will decrease as will the school budget deficits.

Likely, there will be more cuts in education because without illegals, many school districts will loose up to 50% of their student body meaning less teachers and fewer facilities. But, it will also mean that cuts in education will decrease and legal students will get a much better education.

The state budgets of many of our great states will see that without having to pay for illegals, their surpluses will increase which will mean more money going into state funded projects and back into communities instead of into programs for illegal immigrants.

Hopefully, if we get rid of illegal immigrants, we can work on improving literacy and English skills among the immigrants already here so that they can become productive members of society. As long as illegal aliens are here, they will have no need to speak English, but when the illegals are gone, they will find that there will be nobody to talk to anymore and a lot fewer people willing to cater towards their spanish speaking needs.

The real problem is the number that are here already

There is just too many of them

Some Illegals is actually not a bad thing

Certain jobs like bussing tables, or cheap housing cleaning, babysitting and some of these sort of psuedo-businesses could use illegal labor to everyone's benefit

It is only really a problem when we become overwhelmed

They arent as hard to get rid of as you think. Take away their jobs, their social benefits, and they will have no reason to stay. The key isnt to take them away but to take their support system away.

I believe there would be more LEGAL immigration because in those situations where there truly is a worker shortage, employers would be more inclined to sponsor a legal immigrant and of course be required to be financially responsible for this individual, pay legal wages and benefits.

There would not be the extremely cheap labor driving the housing boom. All those overly expensive but cheaply and quickly built houses. Nor would there be all those people with low incomes and no credit willing to obtain subprime loans and commit fraud to obtain houses they cannot afford.

The housing industry -- was built around illegal labor and fraudulent mortgage loans is one of the big reasons the economy is tanking and that is in large part due to illegals and those who brought them in by the semi-trailer loads.
