Anchor Babies (giving birth, illegal aliens, laws, interview)

The term “anchor baby” may be unfamiliar to most Americans but it succinctly describes a troubling aspect of American immigration.

In Parkland Memorial Hospital Dallas, the second busiest maternity ward in the United States, 70% of the women giving birth were illegal aliens. That added up to 11,200 babies for which Medicaid kicked in 34.5 million dollars to deliver these babies, the feds another 9.5 million and Dallas taxpayers tossed in 31.3 million.

The average illegal patient is 25 years and giving birth to her second anchor baby.

So stop treating them, let them have babies in the parking lot right?

Amend the constitution, there is no reason to be paying for anchor babies, the hospital should sue the federal government and their country of origin.

They are not there, they are here now. So don't pay for it, wait for the outcry when the first baby dies from not being treated, get tough, right? Amend the constitution.

And why is it that they are 'here now', Mach 50? It is common knowledge that a woman is not supposed to travel far from home in the later stages of pregnancy. What is the reason or reasons that illegal aliens from SOB show up in the US when it is time to deliver?

They don't have hospitals where they come from - they deliver in parking lots.

BTW, we don't need to "amend the constitution" - we need to enforce our laws already on the books. Problem SOLVED.

I meant let them have the baby in the Hospital parking lot, deny them service without insurance. Just do it already, lets get harsh on these lawbreakers!

The massive manipulation and abuse of the 14th Amendment by illegal aliens is one of the biggest travesties of this issue. It’s absolutely nauseating.

That's not going to happen and you know it. This country is not like that, hence the practice of exploiting all the "free" goodies this country offers.

You didn't address the point I made, which was that we need to enforce our existing laws, not amend the constitution. Do you not agree that my way would also solve this little problem?

The "Anchor Baby Syndrome" is just another incentive that needs to be ELIMINATED immediately.

In most cases, the Anchor Baby is planned and an intentional act to obtain welfare benefits and possibly legal rights to remain in this country legally. Case in point . . . Elvira Arellano who admitted in a media interview she had her son primarily for her own personal selfish gain.
