Always in the top group of US News and World Report's rankings. Maybe they just taught history with a different twist, less dogma, more thinking. How'd you do in history?

Uh huh... One of those schools teaching about the ancient Egyptians having flying machines and the wonderful utopia that is socialism?

Aren't you the guy who claims that because Jefferson owned slaves his genius should be fully disregarded? And even further than that, your implied claim is that because Franklin associated with slave-owners, regardless of his actions and accomplishments, his genius should be disregarded to?

If that's the kind of *snicker* thought that is soliciting high grades these days, I'd say you have nothing to be proud of...

I'm going to stop playing with you in this thread too. Your fantasyland perspectives are just too much...

rlchurch, are you comfortable having the U.S. becoming a non-sovereign nation, too?
Laws are being passed-and quickly-in various states that will heavily fine businesses and individuals who hire illegal aliens, like yourself. If this practice becomes national law, THERE WOULDN'T EVEN NEED TO BE A BORDER FENCE.

We've lived for two hundred years as a sovereign nation with open borders. Tell me the the threat to our sovereignty of families that want to come to the United States and work.

People have been employing "undocumented worker" since before there were documents. Why are all the jobs going overseas -- not enough workers. Why are people wringing their hands about Social Security -- not enough workers. If you call yourself a capitalist, why do you propose a trade embargo on labor?

BTW watch Prince William County VA. They've adopted a get tough approach on undocumented workers. My prediction is that the county will go broke in about 6 months. Businesses are already complaining about no workers, no customer, no money, but the county is raising taxes because it costs more to police now. Dumb and dumber.

Not true, brother. Most, including your ancestors and mine, immigrated to the U.S.legally. If you're referring to seasonal migrant workers, we've had that going on for decades here in rural Colorado and most other ag. oriented places.
No other sovereign country in the world has as lax a border as our's. Moreover, its also about who else has been tip-toeing in. The INS estimates that roughly 2000 of Middle Eastern descent have come across, thanks largely to very well paid coyotes, who've gone as far as admitting it.
Borders are a matter of national security. DUH

You really should do some reading. When the Statue of Liberty was placed the United States let in virtually everyone who hit our shores. Only the Chinese were excluded. Only one of my ancestors had to get permission to come here. All the rest just got on the boat and over they came.

Untold thousands have migrated over the northern and southern borders. Until the xenophobes got control of the political machine nobody really ever even tried to stop it. There have been "migrant workers" coming over for 150+ years. The reason they are "migrants" and not immigrants is that they want to live where they came from. They are just doing a job here that needs doing. When the jobs done, they want to go home.

You haven't come close to making your case. Demonstrate a threat to the sovereignty of the United States. BTW knocking down a couple of buildings is not a threat to our sovereignty.

Oh well.

Close/lock the borders and deport the illegals.

If PW County has to 'suffer' without its illegal immigrant labor force-----------tough! Maybe that is what it will take to force housing prices down in the DC area, then Americans/green card holders may have a chance of living there as human beings..........not de facto serfs.

rlchurch,it comforts me to know that what you believe belongs to a very small fraction of citizens. And it seems those folks got their U.S. history out of a Howard Zinn textbook.

It's a boom for DC. Hispanics legal and illegal are boycotting PW and moving out. All the [moderator cut: inappropriate comments] who want a cheap place to live should head for PW. It'll be a ghost town soon.

Meanwhile it's nonstop Cinco de Mayo parties in the District. [color="Red"][moderator cut: foreign language]
