You were romantically involved with a criminal, a fugative, so you knew the risk. Don't get all pissy now because he got caught and the law was enforced. I dont care about what you feel about someone, wrong is wrong. Your fiance broke the law and deserves to be punished and be deported (you should probably be arrested for harboring an illegal immigrant.) Laws may be unfair sometime but that dont excuse us from following them.

About a week ago there was a program on tv and a construction company in Colorado , GOULD CONSTRUCTION, if I recall it right, say's that they pay $14.00 /hr. and the illegal's that wereon the program said the same thing. Not to be argumentive , Just for general info.

I don't know - my ex-boyfriend used to work construction and he was paid $12 an hour - there were some Haitian guys who were getting paid $40 a day. Cash. My ex often complained that his boss would let a guy go and then the next day one of the cash guys would bring a friend or two. And this was in 2006, right in Orlando, FL.
One of the things that gets me is this bilingual requirement. I was passed up for a promotion recently and it would not have bothered me if the person was more qualified, had seniority, was a better fit for the position - they gave it to her because she was bilingual. And that's not my imagination, my managers exact words were "The 3-11 shift has the highest number of bilingual employees and so we feel it would benefit us to have her there in a supervisory role."
I didn't really understand that. Just like I don't understand how people can move here and never learn English. I would never move to France and not learn to speak French I wrote a paper on this in sociology and my professor actually told me it's because America has no official language.

Reading this post made me wonder what country you illegally came from because hiding from the government and not being able to receive a proper education should be the only reason for a grown woman to spell this horribly and say such stupid things.
Getting involved with an illegal alien is just as dumb as getting involved with a serial killer - if you KNOW he's a serial killer. People like to sugar coat illegal immigration like it's not really a crime, until somebodies daughter gets raped or somebodies son gets shot or someone's dad loses their jobs, then we all remember they are breaking the law.
As an American, you should have encouraged him to either get legal or go home. As a woman, you should have used better judgment.

The solution will be to make both spanish and english our official languages,
remember Juan Ponce de Leon was speaking Spanish in our oldest city
St. Augustine Florida over 100 years before the Mayflower landed here, and the way thighs are going Spanish will be the number one language in the future again. The wisest thing will be for all of us to learn Spanish, I am already working on it.
