Yeppers...

If it sneaks illegally across the southern U.S. border....
Steals an American Social Security number and/or identity to live and work illegally....
Has an illegal alien baby in an American hospital paid for by American taxpayers....
Does the work most Americans would happily do for a living wage for under market wages....
It must an illegal immigrant.

Personally, I prefer the word alien--giving them immigrant status denigrates all LEGAL immigrants who respected and loved this country enough to come here legally.

Not always....sometimes it SOUNDS like a compliment, it's MEANT as a compliment, and it's WORDED exactly like a compliment.....but it's really "sexual harassment".

And sometimes it SOUNDS like concern over one's country....it is WORDED like concern over one's country....and it REFLECTS concern over one's country...but it's called "xenophobia".

Geese, "Coots", and mudhens look and act a lot like ducks.....but they aren't.

Of course it doesn't bother me. I'm a grown man and name calling ceased to have any effect on me years ago.

Plus, I always consider the source.

Yes it does to a small degree Oxcepo. At that point I realize I will get nowhere with this person taking phrases out of the liberal playbook and I'll move on instead of butting heads.

This brings something else to mind. At one forum an open border nut case would always write ANTI (upper case) illegal when addressing an opposing poster as if ANTI implied negative, hateful.

I'm all for changing the terms to "pro-legal" for those of us who want to stop illegal immigration and "anti-legal" for those who promote it.

Then how about, "if the shoe fits, wear it."

Works SOME times...but if the shoe fits perfectly, looks good, fits in with your style, etc.....but belongs to someone ELSE.....then you'd better not wear it, because that would be stealing....

If the msm called us ANTI-ILLEGAL, it would put a whole new perspective on their story and the story would end there, because that's our main point and there would no longer be anything to discuss.

It really doesn't bother me too much because I am very good friends to some LEGAL immigrants, so if they call me anti-immigrant, it just rolls off my back. I think that LEGAL immigration is a cornerstone of our country. I think that the ILLEGALS make things much, much harder for the immigrants who are trying to do things LEGITIMATELY!!!

There are apparently those among us who don't care to get bogged down with such technicalities as ownership and theft. It requires a conscience, which is apparently not inherent to all persons.
