A) Crime
B) Cost of social services
C) Communicable diseases
D) Assimilation
E) Other = All of the above + the shifting of the burden of paying employees a living wage (so they may handle their own expenses) from employers of illegals, to social services in the areas where illegals reside. (In other words, the state makes up the difference in the underpayment of wages to illegals, thus setting up a system in which the state essentially pays for part of the cost of an illegal employer's workforce)

4) Do you feel illegal immigration is helping or hurting our economy?
A) Helping the economy
Quote:
5) If you think illegal immigration is helping our economy, how is it helping our economy? Please select one.
C) hard working, law abiding people

Low-cost labor benefits the economy. Because illegals provide the same amount of work as a US Citizen for less pay, their net productivity is higher. This is great for employers, but a bad situation for illegals.

7) What do you think would be the best way to help remedy illegal immigration?
D) Leaving the borders open, be more lenient with immigration

This is the closest.
Close the borders, amnesty, reform the legal immigration system to allow reasonable legal immigration based on employment (and tied to unemployment %) and not family connections.

8) Some studies estimate there are 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States, others think that this is not a correct number and think the total is closer to 20 million. If the total is 12 million do you think that this is an acceptable number and one that the U.S. can handle?
B) It is still too high

Everyone should be documented legal immigrants. There should be no illegals.

9) A lot of illegal immigrants say that the process to apply for citizenship takes too long and there is too much paperwork, so they just skip it altogether. Do you think …
A) It should be made simpler so that more people can get in faster

This is an ignorant question. The truth is that most illegal immigrants would normally be barred from legally immigrating to the United States as there is no path to citizenship for them if they do not have: 500K to invest in the US, a job that transfers them here, or a brother, adult child, or parent who is a US citizen or PR.
