These illegal aliens fail to realize the “dream" Obama spoke of applies to legal residents of this country. They are not entitled to realize the “American Dream” as long as they are here in violation of our laws. They are certainly not entitled to be rewarded with legalization for their criminal behavior.

SAN BERNARDINO - One day after a historic inauguration, day laborers and their allies called on President Barack Obama to stop workplace raids and pursue comprehensive immigration reform. About 75 day laborers and their supporters marched in front of City Hall to urge an end to the criminalization of immigrant workers.
"(On Tuesday), President Obama said we all have the right to achieve our dreams," said Emilio Amaya, director of the San Bernardino Community Service Center, an immigrant advocacy group. "We are here to remind Mr. Obama that day laborers and immigrants also want to be part of the American dream."

Why don't these day laborers go back home and build up their own country? There are plenty of Americans and legal immigrants who need the work.
It's the old supply and demand theory that you folks miss. Like drugs, arresting drug addicts will not stop drug trafficking, you have to stop the supply. If American citizens and businesses keep hiring these day laborers, then they'll keep coming. We have to be accountable ourselves before we start complaining. I used to work in NVA and would see residents scooping them up daily. If the work wasn't available here, they would'nt be here.

Absolutely! If there were no jobs for illegals, and no government freebies, they would leave. It's a no-brainer.

That's a good question. There is nothing preventing ICE from going to each of these rallies with a bus. These people are simply flaunting their illegal presence, and daring anyone to arrest them. What was that about “living in the shadows?”
That would have been a good time to round up a few more illegal aliens. The real crime here is our government cherry picking which laws they will or will not enforce, and showing preference toward the foreign national illegal alien criminal lawbreaking invaders, invading America! Time for new politicians!
I wonder what would happen if 75 Americans decided to march for 'rights' in a EU country?
I bet they would be deported and certainly ridiculed for their 'ugly american sense of entitlement'. And rightly so.
Yet.....yet, here is a not isolated group of people marching for rights that they are not entitled to and yet they have the -- shall I say cajones? -- to demand the rights of American citizenship without any of the responsibilities. That is by any defination a third world mentality, and one that we do not need any more of.
Once day laborers are legalized then what. Will they continue to work for low wages sinse they will then be expected to pay taxes on their income. How will they impact government assistance programs that are already under funded. What about our shortage of affordable housing. Can we afford to add several million more to the waiting list. Lots of what if's.
