Post News, Feds plan 57 towers in AZ to watch for migrants.

The Department of Homeland Security is planning to put up 45 surveillance towers and upgrade 12 existing ones to create a virtual fence targeting 81 miles of Arizona's U.S.-Mexican border.

Plans revealed in a draft environmental assessment for the "Tucson West" project — the next phase of the Boeing Co.-led SBInet — shows 57 proposed tower sites throughout Southern Arizona with most, 47, in the border region between Sasabe and Sierra Vista.

Sadly, it will probably be "virtually" enforced.

Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper to just get 57 Minutemen to park in 57 motorhomes, with 57 pairs of binoculars and 57 ice chests, under 57 umbrellas? I can't IMAGINE the Minutemen costing anywhere NEAR what these towers cost....and I doubt either way if it will actually stop any illegals...just 'observe' them.

I say, save the money and let the Minutemen do the hands-off 'observing'. Bring them a case of Gatorade if you insist on 'helping'. Not that the Minutemen will be any less a source of anger, 'racism', and charges of "interference" coming from Mexico....but they'll just be a lot less expensive than the towers.
