History backs up what i'm saying, besides most americans are not opposed to legalization as some of you are.

Even IF what you are saying is true( which is not), African Americans will never vote for a republican over a democrat( and that is a fact).
This is nothing more than your personal opinion.

Is that why the two presidential candidates are fighting for the support of "pro illegal fans"?

Are they so stupid that they will go against the will of the american people? Or do they know most americans support both enforcement and a path to legalization?

History would also have us believe that a black man could never become a presidential nominee, let alone president.

I don't know what "most Americans" you are referring to, but the "most Americans" I know, are vehemently opposed to amnesty. It wasn't a "fringe" group that shut down the Senate switchboards; it was "We The People." If you don't believe me, watch what happens if they try it again.

And; said 'Black man' is the odds on favorite to win in November.

To be blunt: unless McCain picks a powerful Vice Presidential candidate; this election will be Obama's to lose.

Hold on a second. I'm a African-American, in 07 i voted for a unknown REPUBLICAN House Representative from Virginia over a popular democratic one. I regret supporting democrat Tim Kaine for VA governor. This year i plan to vote for a Libertarian candidiate (either Ron Paul or Bob Barr, a former republican) over the democrat Obama.

I'm not against democrats (i'm voting for democrat Mark Warner for senate, one of the best governors ever in my opinion and many others) i just don't see them as always the best option.

I know myself and the African-American community better than you. Not every Black person will vote for Obama, trust me.

I think very few Blacks will pass up the opportunity to vote for a first Black presdient. Even staunch Republican Blacks who have never voted a democrate are really considering this election
