I can't say that I'm surprised. Immigration, in particular "illegal" immigration, has become a very lucrative enterprise; which is precisely why organizations such as the ACLU, SPLC, La Raza, et al. have become involved in so-called "immigration" issues. Opportunists such as Jesse Jackson have also jumped on the immigration bandwagon. They're like moths to a flame. It's disgusting.

It speaks volumes that we have law firms specializing in strategies for corporations to “legally” avoid hiring legal citizens.

So, I guess that's the future, lawyers fighting for illegals to stay in the country if they have the money to afford a lawyer. What about lawyers fighting to defend our laws - I was hoping I would read that article and find some lawyers doing that.

Immigration law is also amazingly boring, however.

You are so right! And the amzing thing is that people pay lawyers thousands to fill out forms that they can fill out for themselves! I have done 5 for family and not a lawyer has been involved!

I filled out my sons paperwork. However, a friend of mine who lives in a different county wasn't allowed to --- laws vary not just state to state but county to county. Why she had to hire a lawyer and I didn't? Money? Who knows, but I do agree that the immigration process is seriously fouled up and made unnecessarily complicated (for legal immigrents anyways).
