Sometimes the cure is as bad as the illness...

Not only would federal immigration laws and US Banking laws have to be changed...A whole new brureaucracy would have to be created to investigate, confiscate, store, sell and litigate these new assets.

If they were to face the loss of their stuff - they would be heading across the border quick, fast, and in a hurry!

Right after they ran up their credit cards and bounced Bank of America checks (SOURCE OF INFO (http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration /bankofamerica.asp - broken link))

How does this make sense? Do you know how many cars are taken away from illegals on a daily basis?

If this is true then why would illegals who were deported last week come back a week later to start ALL over again?

Also that page doesnt work, and I as an EX BoA employee know for a fact illegals cannot qualify for a credit card since you need a valid SSN to apply for credit

I call lies on this one, the credit card you are talking about is not a REAL credit card, its a pre-paid credit card they were offering to test the waters. I remember this coming out when I was there. We would have people walking in all day complaining about it.
Yes I grant you it was the direction BoA wanted to take but they didnt.
you would deposit 300 and if you kept it without overdrawing (you could only overdraw 20 dollars) then they would raise your limit to 500. But it was promotional and no longest exsist, its all pre-paid now

Heres the link to it

What also wrong in this arguement that the ITIN numbers are easy to obtain is not true. To obtain one you need to either go into an IRS building and show proper documents or go into Acceptance Agent's office and show them your proper paperwork ( I'm one, left BoA to be one).

But your right, BoA doesnt care about anything but money but they dont owe anything to america, they were originally the bank of italy then bank of boston, however Nation's bank from Texas bought bank of america and just kept its name. Thats why if you walk into any BoA and ask them from their ID number it will always start with an NBK (Nations BanK).

So you are telling us that if someone established an account, with a secured credit card whenever this was implemented, that they no longer have access to that account or credit card? You are telling us no illegal alien currently has a credit card from BOFA?

Bank of America has timeframes on all accounts. If you had an account for a long time you "time" out. Which i also caught when i was working there, a lot of accounts people thought they were grandfathered into were changed to another account after a given time. I left at around 08 from BoA and I have the same accounts but the prima account and the campus edge (I was told, I'm not sure because I no longer work there) is no longer avalible and the campus edge was only good for 5 years and people are now timing out.

Point be the secured credit cards have a time out as well and when it expired the customers were mailed a check for their deposit (if any) and told thank you for your business.

Am I saying that no illegal has a credit card? I knew a few corrupt people in the bank who would do anything for another credit card application (opening accounts gets you a benefit)... So I cant speak for sure on that one, my answer to that is "legally, no one without a social has a credit card".
