There are members on this forum that Do not care if the Mexicans are legal or not, they do not want them here.
As a black person, I didn’t have to hear about anything. My point is; you are comparing apples to oranges. Black people fought and died for rights they as “legal” citizens of this country were entitled to. Illegal aliens, irrespective of race/ethnicity, are not “entitled” to anything. Furthermore, the U.S. “owes” them nothing.

For the record, “legal” Mexicans are entitled to the same rights and privileges as any other citizen of this country. I have no problem with legal Mexicans. However, I do oppose ALL illegal aliens.

Can't really say I'm surprised...
A Mexican-American like you should know that "foreign born" and "native" Mexican/Chicano communities are really close as far as living in the same neighborhoods, and interacting.

We will leave our home of fifty years when my husband retires and the house sells: an interim move would be too expensive. In the meanwhile, I work as a neighborhood activist to try to help everyone in my L.A. area, despite the changes for the worse. I happen to think all of us citizens and legal residents deserve better. ( Any of you from L.A.? Call the three digits 311 to get any local governmental department. L.A. finally acknowledged it's too Byzantine to navigate, and will connect you via their operators to whoever's applicable to your need, i.e. building code enforcement, parking problems, bulky trash dumped on your property, et al.)

I don't expect trollish posters to keep up with other individuals, but there's as many posts aplenty by me extolling the virtues of naturalized citizens (some of the finest people I know) as there are observations of the hellish things that illegals have done to my neighborhood and L.A. at large.

Some of you really are in denial about the mindset of illegals, who think it's totally hunky dory to break any law they please, from smallest nuisance, such as illegals spitting at me (a middle-aged caucasian female) when I innocuously walk by, to horrifically dangerous ones, like the unlicensed driver illegals that slammed into me (one of whom went straight through a turn lane against a red light into oncoming traffic, me.)

Are the ones questioning declines of neighborhoods due to massive influxes of illegals homeowners themselves? If so, when masses of illegals rent out houses from their legal acquaintances and fill them with, say, 14 screaming adults and 6 children in a small 2-bedroom house, with 10 cars parked on the street in addition to those on property, trash the place inside and out, litter debris, and yell, scream and blast music 24/7 despite no one else around them behaving this rudely, what would you call it? Community redevelopment?

Back to topic: illegals as described in the paragraph above indeed foment crime. Gangs increase here mainly in the their areas. And the mindset of "rules and laws don't apply to me" of the illegals becomes the new status quo.

What would you consider the difference with Illegals here in Arizona and the one's you have in Los Angeles? I honestly have not seen that type of behavior here of course when they are here, they do not want to be discovered so they are not going to draw attention to themselves.

And God's Honest truth, what I've written I've experienced personally. Illegals have shot through the fence at my nice dogs, vandalize my neighborhood, break building code laws, incubate gangs, graffiti everything, drive without licenses (3 totalled car wrecks in the last 7 years by them in my life, yes, the police confirmed they were illegals) blare window-rattling stadium-worthy p.a. systems 24/7, and so on ad infinitum. Your lack of experience with them, I'm guessing, stems from lesser percentages than L.A. (wherein 300 illegals enter daily) and perhaps your living in more upscale digs than middle/working class people like me in L.A.

So where do you draw the line on criminal behavior?

Yes, as all other posters who live amongst illegals in Los Angeles verify, the observations are true: the impunity of illegality here foments lawlessness. So where do you draw the line on criminal behavior?

I would not say that illegals as a whole have tried to not draw attention to themselves, especially when you consider the idiot marches they decided to participate in in the different states. I also would not say that they are not trying to draw attention to themselves when they constantly DEMAND healthcare and other freebies in Spanish. Or, how about the ones that have no problem spitting on citizens and telling us to get out of their country while they are here illegally? Nope, your statement has no true rings to it. Yes, some do try to run under the radar, but most do not.

Sassy if you are in AZ you must live behind a gate or something. Either that or you are typing in braille.

If I would of have suffered like you and many others from California, I would have called ICE and or the police non stop until they did something about it.
