In Arizona - it is due to layoffs in Hi Tech areas including Boeing and some school districts. Government has also laid off

Something else to consider:

Here in Arizona the construction industry has collapsed and many of the workers were illegals.

If said lawbreakers been legal------our unemployment rate would most likely be 7-8%.
