Watching the hammer coming down on the illegals (of any race/ethnicity) is akin to watching old news reels of the Civil Rights Movement------in reverse. The more that MEChA etc. protest------the deeper the hostility against 'em.
And deservedly so. I am all for live and let live. That starts here in the USA. They invade our country in mass. They commit various crimes starting with crossing illegally and then have the audasity to demand special treatment.
I broke into your house. What you having roast beef? Wth I wanted pizza. You best go order me some. Oh while I am here I will take a few loans out in your name, helpmyself to your wallet and go after your medicine cabnet. That is their mentality... Oh I also forgot 1 thing I want your job too.

The Church doesn't wish to admit that too many Catholic countries are third world hellholes.
The Church's politics are admittedly confusing. Aside from matters of religious belief, when they branch out into everyday politics, they often pick some very strange priorities. It's not at all clear to me why they do the things they do, any more than it is to you...(if that helps)..

The Catholic Church is one of the largest organizations in the world..also, it's probably one of the oldest. In the past, it's been a "world power". Needless to say, its 'focus' on things isn't like that of the US Government.

Personally, I prefer to get my "governing" from my government, and my "salvation" from my church....and when they interfere with each other, it's always uncomfortable..

Let me give you an "A" for this analogy...I've made many similar ones myself...(such as "those who support the rights of illegals are the same people who'd IMMEDIATELY call the police, if I moved into their back yard")...

While your post makes perfect sense, I must warn you that most people just won't "get it"....somehow, people either can't see the wisdom of what you wrote....or they carefully avoid discussing it.

But, again, you get an "A" from me....

I'm not a liberal, I'm a Socialist. There's a big difference between the two. Do you know what those differences are? I'm betting you don't.

They're not criminals, they're workers. Apparently this church realizes that and did the right thing.

that's right. social security fraud and tax evasion is only a crime if you are a legal citizen.

if you are a socialist, move to another country. your idea is outdated and lame. capitalism won, you lose.
