From 1991 through 2004, Carreto Valencia served as a manager in her family’s sex trafficking operation based in San Miguel de Tenancingo, Tlaxcala, Mexico. Carreto Valencia, and her sons Josue Flores Carreto and Gerardo Flores Carreto, and other co-conspirators, recruited young, uneducated women and girls from impoverished areas of Mexico and used or approved of a combination of deception, fraud, rape, forced abortion, threats, and physical violence to compel them to prostitute themselves in brothels throughout the New York City metropolitan area, including Queens and Brooklyn. Carreto Valencia and her family made hundreds of thousands of dollars in prostitution profits, while the women who had been separated from their families in Mexico received next to nothing.

Did you read the article?

ICE stands for "Immigration and Customs Enforcement".

You don't think a case involving the smuggling of human beings into our country, which is being investigated by our IMMIGRATION department is an IMMIGRATION ISSUE? Do you think they were involved because taxes weren’t paid on the “goods” being “imported” into this country? I certainly hope not.

Statement by Julie L. Myers, Assistant Secretary for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement

"The third is to uproot the criminal infrastructures at home and abroad that support illegal immigration, including human smuggling / trafficking organizations and document / benefit fraud organizations."

Notice our Government considers this an Immigration issue.

IA huggers are in denial and would like to believe that every illegal who has crossed our border is just "looking for a better life".

Sorry forgot to include this.

When people fight against closing the border to Illegal Immigrants it sounds like they envision stopping the happy honest foreigner who only wants to make a bit of money to better his impoverished family. The reality is when they have it their way, and open the borders, they allow EVERYONE in. This includes rapists and murderers who prey on innocent people. This includes Illegal Immigrant infected with contagious diseases that wind up killing innocent Americans. This includes immigrants who have no desire to “work an honest day” but instead wish to make a living by robbing; stealing; and swindling from legal immigrants and citizens alike. And now as we can see from the article This includes Women who are forced into sexual slavery.

Sex trafficking is highly profitable. Most of the people being sold as sex slaves in the U.S are from Asia.

Crossing the border on criminal business doesn't count as immigration anymore than flying to Tokyo on a business meeting does.
