Although its still regrettable that even after the proven fact that almost 80% of all illegals into the US are from Mexico, the US Federal Government still has a dismal foreign investment record to Mexico. The US should reevaluate its investment policies with Mexico.
Anti immigrant or anti-ilegal immigrant? There is a huge difference.

I also don't see how gloating over the collapse of the USA economy really makes much sense when Mexico is so dependent on it. There may be a lag time but Mexico depends entirely on drug trafficking to the USA, remittances from the USA and the maquilas which rely on non-stop American consumerism.

Yes we should------cut Mexico off, period.

That nation has a nasty habit of nationalizing foreign investment in its country (oil comes to mind).

Let the Carlos Slim's of SOB cough up the needed capital. Till Mexico grows up and takes responsibility for itself......she needs to be shunned.

Mexico would likely collapse between millions of its citizens being forced out of the USA as it is and us cutting off investing there.

We had better just be prepared to possibly 'take out' that country militarily if the unrest hits a critical level and millions of frightened/injured Mexicans (the ones would would never cross illegally otherwise) try to stampede the border fortifications.

For the record, I am NOT anti-immigrant. However, I am a staunch opponent of illegal immigration. If you have read my posts, you should know this.

The rise of Mexico is due to democracy, the hard work and effort of citizens , economic stability which was unkown before, and the diversification of exports to reduce dependance on the USA. not because of illegal immigration.

It has been proven that most illegals are from Mexico, just not the figure you proposed. I've posted it before and the figure is more like 57%. Again, we can never know for sure how many illegals are in the U.S and we cannot know for sure where they're from.
