I know a korean immigrant, she came here at grade 5 and was put into esl. By the beginning of grade 6 she was fluent in english and put in the normal class. Do you know how she did it? She worked her butt off, she was motivated and she did this while living with her non english speaking grandmother. It can be done, if someone is motivated to assimiliate.

That’s the problem, they aren’t motivated. Our current illegals have been coddled like an injured toddler. They aren’t ‘forced’ to assimilate like previous “immigrants” because they are constantly accommodated. It’s a tactic devised by the corporate masters to keep their ‘slaves’ happy.

Similar tactics were used during slavery in this country. However, then, they devised an ingenious scheme to divide and conquer (house slaves vs. field slaves / light skin vs. dark skin). It was so effective we are still witnessing the residuals. Apparently, they have decided to use a different tactic with the new ‘slaves’ -- one of unity and entitlement, and a disdain for all who support the enforcement of our laws.

No, they have no desire to learn English. After all, they have been indoctrinated to believe that they, and their culture, will eventually prevail.

On the flip side, our Texas born, native English-speaking child (with US born parents) was put into a "bi-lingual" Spanish class without our knowledge or permission. The intention of the class was to teach Hispanic kids English, not vice versa. Our child would have learned at a slower rate, would have been excluded from most of the instruction, etc. A good thing for our child? No.

Fortunately, we figured it out and demanded a transfer. But guess what? What happened to our child is totally legal in Texas. Hispanic kids are required to have a Spanish speaking teacher by law but English speaking kids can be put into a Spanish class. Go figure.

Good for you! If you don't mind may I ask if you live in a sanctuary city? My biggest fear for Americans who have young children in the public school systems of these sanctuaries is their children being cheated because they are trapped in classrooms with children of illegal aliens with little to no command of the English language.

Yet another negative affect of this invasion.

How does Texas determine who is 'Hispanic' or not?

There is no Hispanic gene on the DNA helix.

My birth surname sounds Spanish yet I am Nordic White in appearance.

Out of the dozens of illegal immigrant children I've encountered while working in a school district, after the first two months, all of them knew English. Children learn languages far faster than adults.

Yes, Austin city council voted to be a sanctuary city a few years ago.
