A survey of small businesses shows that more than three-fourths weren’t impacted at all by the state’s groundbreaking employer sanctions law during the first six months it was enforced.

Seventy-six percent of respondents to the Silver State Bank/ASBA/O’Neil Associates Economic Indicators Monitor said the law had “no impact” on their businesses, and 14 percent reported a negative or very negative impact.

“It looks to us, at this still relatively early point, like the law is going through a ‘shakedown’ phase wherein most employers are discovering that this law is not having the catastrophically negative or euphorically positive impact that was promised by opponents and proponents of the law,” said the poll’s director, Dr. Michael O’Neil.

In the first quarter of the year, only 65 percent of businesses said they hadn’t been impacted by the law and 22 percent claimed to have been negatively impacted.

So much for us "needing" them and their being good for our economy. This merely prove that it's the big greedy business entities that are profiting from this illegal invasion farce. They certainly don't need the money.
