I think people like the ones who posted on that thread deserve a chance to try and become legal Americans, which is what they want to do.
Do you have something against that?
They did not ALL enter this country at a young age, and there is no way to ascertain at what age they actually entered or overstayed visas. They are not American simply by virtue of having remained in this country for a specific period. They should appreciate the education they have received, and prepare to return to their countries of origin. There will be no amnesty.

You have no idea how many people came here at the age of 3 or 4 or 5.
Imagine you being born in England, but you dont remember anything about it because you were brought here at the age of 2, then you get set back to England at whatever age you are without ever having been there.

These people deserve a right to become LEGAL citizens. They've stayed out of trouble, and are becoming educated. Thats the kind of immigrants we need.

Let me recall now, It has been DECADES since I was in High school typing class. Best I could do was 33 words a minute without any SPELLING mistakes. Some girls did 60 wpm. Just not my bag. Now talk engineering math with me and it's a different ball game. Steve

Sometimes I feel like I'm at the math level of a 2 year old.
But I just got a B on what will hopefully be the last math course in my career as a student, god willing =S

Yeah, I remember you bringing that up, and I've been DVR'ing C-Span ever since. PLEASE tell us if this going to be televised.

Are you going to go into the bad effects of multi-culturalism? On how Mexicans are programmed to be child-rapists so we should stop importing more illegals?

What's next on the agenda? Larry King? The O'Reilly Factor?
Stephen Colbert!! Go on his show!

Sorry Dreamie, it's a private meeting. No television cameras just me and the Senator.

Do you think you could work your way to speak to congress on that?

And your point is?

BTW, amc, don’t pretend you weren’t aware of the site. Which story is yours?
Agreed. They blew their own covers and of course AMC has a story on there whether he admits it or not.

YouTube - Senator Richard Durbin on the DREAM Act

YouTube - America is Better Than That
Do you honestly think I didn't know Durbin wrote and sponsored the bill and Obama co-authored it. As a life long resident and Illinois voter, I have a feeling my Senator will be more inclined to listen to what I have to say and take it under very serious consideration. Make no mistake about it, my visit will be complete with signatures from other concerned voters as well as printed statements of DREAMIES of personal drunk driving stories, instructions on how to beat a ticket, fake SSN's and how easy it is to fool the judges in traffic court.

Did I mention he's up for re-election?
