I know more than you might think, amigo.
Thats hype. There was a lot of immigration after their civil war, and they formed gangs to protect themselves.
They got especially dangerous like the rest of the gangs during the crack epidemic.
Around the time of the riots and when the gang killings were especially high, the police started export Latinos who were committing crimes, even if they were legal immigrants.
THEN when they ended up back in El Salvador, they started getting hold of all the AKs left over from the rebels and the civil war and started creating mayhem out there.

The members of MS 13 in LA were young when they came to the U.S. And of course they only let Salvadorans in. They were the minority in the ghetto.
But the gang is more American in nature than some guerilla force that decided to form a gang.

Look, they are Salvadorians who started it, expanded it and exported it. How is that the US' fault? Because the Salvadorians started it in LA? Moot point......Salvadorian immigrants - legal or not - are responsible for bringing more discord and danger into their home country. No matter what neighborhood they may have lived in while in the US.

And for the record, I don't think the US is 'all pristine'. God knows our country has a lot to answer for. But not this.

Neighborhoods like the ones where Salvadoran immigrants ended up are breeding grounds for gangs.
If you want to really "go to the source of the problem", you have to go a little further than immigration.

L.A was the breeding ground for all the major gangs. Crips, Bloods, MS-13, Nazi lowriders, Sur 13 e.t.c

Actually; 'veiled prophet' claimed half Native American Indian heritage I believe-----which would make her a Mestizo, albeit not Hispanic.

Looks almost like a Gringo Hispanic news anchor team------in Mexico, the putative 'beautiful people' tend not to be Mestizo. Take a look at a telenovela.
