As far as teens, hispanics have the highest birthrate here in the U.S. Do you really think these teens are supporting their own kids?

I am saying we should take away WIC. I don't freaking care if they need it or not. fact is, they aren't entitled to jack crap if they aren't citizens. why should the US tax payer be burdened with the worthless from other countries.

How is it abused? Ask your employer to give you small check, meaning a check with less funds than you would normally receive. And then another check with the remaining funds.

Child Trends DataBank - Teen Births (http://www.childtrendsdatabank.org/indicators/13TeenBirth.cfm - broken link)

Differences by Race and Ethnicity
Prior to 1995 black teens had the highest female teen birth rates. However, throughout the 1990s, rates among Hispanic teens began declining more slowly than did rates among black teens, and currently, Hispanics have the highest teen birth rates. In 2006, birth rates per 1,000 females ages 15 to 19 among Hispanic teens (83.0) were higher than rates among non-Hispanic black teens (63.7), American Indian teens (54.7), non-Hispanic white teens (26.6), and Asian teens (16.7). (See Figure 3 (http://www.childtrendsdatabank.org/figures/13-figure-3.gif - broken link))

Among female Hispanic teens, in 2005*, those of Mexican descent had higher birth rates than those of Puerto Rican descent (93.4 per 1,000 versus 63.3 per 1,000, respectively). (See Table 1 (http://www.childtrendsdatabank.org/tables/13_Table_1.htm - broken link))

Hispanic teens are an important risk group because they are part of the fastest growing segment of the population. Sexually experienced Hispanic teens are less likely than other teens to talk to their partner about contraception before sex and to use contraception, and are less likely to view pregnancy in a negative way.9

Among males, in 2005*, black teens have higher birth rates than white teens (32.2 versus 14.2 per 1,000). (See Table 1 (http://www.childtrendsdatabank.org/tables/13_Table_1.htm - broken link)) Rates for males are not available for other racial/ethnic groups.
*Note: Most recent year for which such estimates are available.

Health and Fertilit

]In 2004, fertility rates for Hispanic women were about 45 percent higher than those for non-Hispanic black women and Asian women (98 births per 1,000 for Hispanic women versus 67 births per 1,000 for black and Asian women), and more than 60 percent higher than those for women in all other racial and ethnic groups.

Among Hispanic women, Mexican woman have a much higher fertility rate than Puerto Rican and Cuban woman (106 births per 1,000 compared with 62 births per 1,000 and 62 births per 1,000, respectively, in 2003, the latest year for which such data are available)

Hispanics have the highest teenage pregnancy and birth rates of any racial or ethnic group. The Hispanic teenage pregnancy rate in 2000 (the latest year for which data are available) was 137.9 pregnancies per 1,000 females aged 15 to 19, compared with 83.6 for the overall U.S. teenage population. Similarly, Hispanics had the highest teenage birth rate in 2003, with 82.2 births per 1,000 females aged 15 to 19, although this is a 20 percent decline from 105 births per 1,000 in 1991. In comparison, the birth rate for teenagers of all backgrounds was 41.7 per 1,000; 27.5 for non-Hispanic white teens; 64.8 for African American teens; and, 18 for Asian teens.

Hispanic teen birth rates differ dramatically by country of origin. In 2000, the birth rate for all Hispanics aged 15 to 19 was 87.3, while the birth rate for Mexican teens was 95.4. Puerto Ricans teens had the second highest birth rate with 82.9 births per 1,000, while Cuban teens had the lowest birth rate of 23.5.

I wasn't speaking in terms of illegality. People of all races/ethnicities are taking advantage of WIC.

And also.. I really don't know why we're talking about teenage birth rates, we know Britain beats out all countries. And really it has nothing to do with immigration. Unless Jamie Lynn spears thinks so otherwise.

It always amazes me that to make an excuse for the criminals "stealing" from our country people will constantly tell us how our citizens take advantage of programs. While it is not right for anyone to do this it is double wrong for illegals to do it. I also wish they would take away WIC and all of the other incentives our government has given to people to continue to have babies that can't afford them. I also wish that we would go back to how it used to be that a girl was ashamed of being pregnant without being married.
