nope, spanish will NEVER be the primary language here. some illegals are going home, thank god. we are making it a bit more difficult for them to live here and without all the handouts, the incentives are in place like they once were. I know basic spanish, but I will never become fluent in it to cater to immigrants. I don't go other places and demand they speak english.

I doubt it very strongly..............if anything, Spanish may decline in popularity due to the plunging birthrate and growing deportations of 'Hispanics'.

I think it all depends. If they push through another big amnesty then yes, it will be Spanish and probably in less than 20 years. If you thought the population doubling to 300 million in just a few decades was amazing, just wait until another amnesty where many will pour over the border to cash in and then family chain migration starts up in a very big way.

The only people speaking ONLY Spanish are recent immigrants. They might spend their whole lives speaking only Spanish in the United States, but their kids learn English.
People like to point out cases where people have been here 10, 20, 30 years and don't speak English, but they are always immigrants.
It won't become the primary language though.
