Keep in mind that many Mexicans who sneak into the US come from the Mexican states that border Guatemala. Mexico isn't all that poor on a global scale, the average Mexican has a standard of living similar to the average Greek, it is the Mexicans from the poorest states and the underclass from the major cities who come to the US and send money to their families back home where a few thousand dollars goes a long way in the shantytowns and dirt farms.

I don't think of you as one of the bigots here, but the term "silent Holocaust" is incredibly anti-semitic. As if somehow the Jewish people enjoying the freedom to marry gentiles is somehow equivalent to Nazism, which in fact looked upon intermarriage between Jews and gentiles with extreme disapproval.

Actually; a lot of the Orthodox Jewish people do use the term 'silent Holocaust' do bemoan their children marrying outside of the faith and their subsequent grandchildren not being raised Jewish.

JewishPost.com - Silent Holocaust Gets a Voice
Orthodox Jews are a pretty small minority of the Jewish population. Unless one lives in certain NYC neighborhoods or in West Hollywood, CA, one usually won't encounter them. Most Jews would think that term would be very offensive, and IMO (and I'm not Jewish) it seems like it would be very offensive. Then again, Orthodox Jews hold other beliefs that are very offensive to most of the Jewish population, like thinking that the Holocaust was God punishing the Jews for turning away from their religion.

The term's most often used by pro-lifers, without a Jewish context.
