If I were our little Troll; she should be much more concerned about even more of Mexico breaking off and joining the USA----------especially with the former country showing more signs of instability.

No, this country will not be part of you or your people! This is a America, not la Ciudad de Juarez, México! I am learning Spanish because Spanish is supplanting English as the dominant language in many parts of the US. I go into my local Wal-Mart and I will hear as many, if not more, conversations in Spanish than I will in English. There are "Spanish only" cashiers! The store announcements are in English and Spanish, and many of the announcements are in Spanish only and not repeated in English! I have asked the store manager why this is so, and she told me that the Spanish only annoibents are dirigido a altavoces Españoles sólo, no a altavoces Ingleses! Podría pasar y en, pero tú consigues la imagen (You get the picture)! I am purposely posting in English and Spanish to give the OP's that read this thread a taste of what the future holds in a bi-lingual country! Just like French speaking Quebec Provence in Canada, it's a f****** mess! Largo Vive el Idioma Inglés en América!

Especially now that oil production in Mexico has peaked and production is in decline! Something tells me that the North American Union is just on the horizon, and will come into existence before we can say "Bienvenido a México"! (Welcome to Mexico!)
