When it gets right down to it:

Most companies have been guilty of supporting questionable causes over the years.

Several posters here have alluded to the interlocking nature of business in general.

All of that stated: there is always an Achilles Heel of any entity.

Here's a tough example problem . . a company has been making parachutes for the military since WWII.

I don't directly buy from them, but as citizens, we all indirectly do as taxpayers. I could write a letter to the GAO (relevant purchasing office, government representative, etc.) requesting they be excluded from any future bids if they continued the practice of hiring illegal aliens, etc. But what is noteworthy, unlike that airport sweep of illegal aliens at the Dulles Airport (other thread), this was . .

". . possible threat to national security, federal immigration agents raided a parachute manufacturing company in Asheville on Tuesday.

They took into custody 59 illegal aliens who were working on the assembly line making parachutes for the U.S. armed forces."

According to the company, they were "duped" by false identification.

No, they are taking jobs with benefits from American citizens, paying less wages and minimal benefits, pocketing the difference and not passing on those savings to the consumer public.

Obviously a little economics 101 as well as American government would be a good starting point for the public schools system.

Troll alert
