"If President Bush is going to demand that Russia “respect the sovereignty of their neighbors”, then perhaps he should first start respecting the sovereignty of the very nation that he portends to represent."

Check out this blog for lots of news and information concerning illegal immigration.

Yes, very good point.

I think for this reason Americans aren't going to jump on that bandwagon -- we have a worse problem here with a bordering nation having no respect for our borders and it's people telling us they are here to take over.

What the Russians should just do is send in their most militant Russian nationalists and announce they will out breed the people of Georgia and that their babies will be given welfare handouts, free college, free health care and the people of Georgia will pay for their handouts, have their leaders state they expect to be given the whole enchilada.

The Russians should get out their Russian flags and march into Georgia proclaiming it's theirs now and that if anyone disagrees, they are just racist.

Bush is stupid. He's completely afraid of the Mexican leaders and will not stand up to them.

Sadly, you're right. He's lost any credibility he might once have had, several years ago. Anything he says now isn't only meaningless, it's irrelevant. His disjointed thoughts at this late date, on nations 'respecting each others' sovereignty', are not only ironic...they're a personal insult to all of us in THIS country, whose sovereignty Mr. Bush has gone out of his way to make sure is NOT respected, and has done everything in his power to make sure we're not to object when anyone who feels like it can enter OUR 'space'. Take care of YOUR borders, Mr. Bush, and get your 'house in order'...then, when that's done, maybe you can start giving out advice to others.

Consider the source.

Now for irony:

Russia's invasion of Georgia may have unwittingly given the USA carte blanche to really 'crack the whip' against Mexico.

The law of unintended consequences may be at work here........................

This, unfortunately, will have to wait until Senor Boosh is out of office. His family is indebted to Mexico, for many reasons, some of which are not too above board. These connections go back as far as 3 generations.
