From villages with no electricity to shopping at Best Buy.
Gotta love this country!
I worked for a summer in a very remote village in southern Mexico. Building toilets. This town was so small and so remote that we had to hitch several different vehicles to get there - 6 hours away from any city. 500 people in this town. One truck. One phone. Sporadic running. No one knew a bit of English. They were the poor people we were going to help by building outhouses and teaching basic medical care to.

This town also had 5 mezcal distilleries and _numerous_ satellite dishes stuck up on the roofs. There were two gigantic trash dumps that were regularly on fire, though trash was all over the street, too. I saw new tvs and even vcrs in the houses. It seemed like everyone ate (and, ahem, drank) rather well. And I was asked numerous times for help getting into the U.S. so that they could get "free cars, free houses, and free food/health care."

I wouldn't go to Best Buy, anyway. Their customer service sucks. I usually get great customer service at CC.

Well, for goodness sakes, we shot down the Kennedy/McCain "shamnesty" bill TWICE. I'd say that's something. That was the result of the American people standing up for America, and shutting down phone lines in Washington. And, it worked TWICE.

Many of us are a lot more involved than you could ever know. Many here fax, call, write, protest. We boycott, etc. Many here are working on political campaigns and speak before state and local and federal bodies/agencies. Many of us do much more. Do you really think that we would actually put everything out here so some crazed pro-illegal could see it and use it against us and figure out who we are? No I don't think so.

Giving you that info would reveal my name to all the crazies around here, and frankly, I don't think that would be a great idea...

Hell blacknight, the picture on my profile was taken at a rally held on the steps of the Georgia Capitol, I'd bet my attendance there is more than any 'activism' you've done.

I did give a short speech that day, too...

Why stop at Best Buy?

Brown list...

I for one will support bestbuy...simply because I got my 42 inch 1080P LCD with a 4 year warranty for ~ $1000...

Anyways, I drive a Dodge truck. Drink Coke products...and so on...

The boycott thing does not work. Not in the Global Market. Just like all the Gas boycott talk...it won't even make a dent.

More power to you if you are willing to do it. GL and have fun...

Well, you see, some people have this thing called a 'conscience'. I will not do business with a company that will deliberately screw over the citizens of the very country that allowed it to become a global competitor in the first place in order to pander to the illegal alien market. You can say my boycott will not make any difference. And you may be right. But at the end of the day there are only two people I have to answer to- myself and my god/goddess. If I have done the right thing by both then that is good enough for me.
